Flanigan is awesome. Cmon Amazon make a new Stargate universe. Bring back SG1 and Atlantis and give Jason his own show of His planet prior to its destruction. They can do it based on his unit

Doubt they can afford him at this point.

@@Scottlp2 if he's still doing TV then why not? they're spending a billion on Lord of the Rings. I'm sure a 10 episode limited series wouldn't be too expensive, maybe not as profitable but it could be a launch pad to bring more fans in. Amazon prime brings in 73 million a day so they've far more than Netflix or Apple.

@@karl810 When there are 2 decades worth of previous storytelling and lore to build further upon, this should a no brainer.
@karl8103 жыл бұрын
@@Mike1Lawless exactly, there's even more than 2 decades available if you include his whole life and the Setedan people as a whole, we live in the age of Prequels, a couple of 10 episode Prequel miniseries to reboot the franchise while keeping the lore, especially with now huge actors like Jason could kick Stargate way past Star Trek and plant it as the main TV space opera available. Could you imagine, a Jason Mamoa mini series, a Tokra prequel and a Rise of the Goauld show in the style of the movie Gods of Egypt, followed by sequels based on the books of Seteda rebuilding, to SGU which feels more like BSG, to a true Stargate Command series thats building Asguard class battleships? I cant think of a franchise that could get away with that many filming and story telling styles while still remaining grounded and coherent. Amazon have made a good choice here, I just hope they take advantage of it.

I think it's a smart idea posting tidbits of interviews in more digestible clips. I hope to see flanigan again in stargate

I can't wait to hear more from Joe Flanigan,really enjoyed his role in Atlantis straight away as the pilot for RDA. Will also have to watch "See" and hope when he returns he talks Jason Momoa into joining in too. The onscreen chemistry between those two seemed real,and a lot of fun. Good interview David you're doing a great job for us all to enjoy.

Ah that voice! I miss it so much. I hope at some point we can see Sheppard again… my favorite character on SGA .. well maybe a tie with McKay. 😝 I always loved his down-to-earth personality, charm and sense of humor. From this interview… I have a feeling John and Joe are kinda similar.

David, I’ve really enjoyed watching Dial the Gate. You are the PERFECT host man! Doing live form interviews and such like this isn’t easy . You make it look easy, please keep up the fantastic work! I look forward to Episode 100, aka the Comic Con exclusive Atlantis reunion. :) I love your (and Darren’s I imagine?) vision to have this series be a digital archive of sorts for Stargate. Perfect way of putting it. It’s been lovely to hop into an episode here on YT as I work and watch/listen to the longer form interviews with the cast and crew. I look forward to this show blowing up in year two and beyond, especially IF and when another Stargate series comes around. Cheers and thanks for your hard work.

The messages from the kids reminds me of something that happened many many years ago. Someone was on Good Morning America trying to demonstrate something on AOL. However, he didn't turn off his messaging. The screen resolution was enough to identify his username, so hundreds of messages suddenly started popping up, so fast the guy couldn't keep the menu on top long enough to turn off messaging. He ended up having to shut down his computer and just talk about what he wanted to show.

People think blind folks "hear more" … Not really. Generally we hear what you hear. We just have to pay attention to what we hear a little more. Which is why my most common response if you first say something to me is, "Hm?" Not because I wasn't listening-but because I wasn't listening to something outside, at street level, several floors up, through high-rise walls and windows.

To get into more specifics; - don't look at the person who is speaking, your ear guides you like your eyes would so there was a lot of neck tilting. - With everyone being blind we had to practice moving as a group without using our vision (but our eyes were open, but group training in a gymnasium. So lots of vocal cues.
