Some fun episode trivia: 1. The actor playing Urgo was Dom DeLuise, the father of one of the show's directors. 2. Most of his lines were ad-libbed, he was basically just told to say or do something funny. 3. The reason Teal'c is so underused in this episode is because Christopher Judge was very much unable to keep a straight face at Deluise's antics.

@@momogoes3329 No planet has enough gravity to make a significant difference in time dilation. You have to have a LOT of gravity before the difference actually becomes noticeable.

@@momogoes3329 Spending 24 hours on a planet with twice the gravity of Earth would have a difference in time of around 3 nanoseconds. Likes @James Amril-Kesh said, you need a _lot_ of gravity in order for there to be a noticeable difference. Regarding showing the effects of differing amounts of gravity, this is something which is quite difficult to do without looking cheesy. This is made even more difficult with the budgetary and time restrictions of each episode of a cable TV show.

"As handsome as he is evil ... " -- This episode has a ton of great lines delivered by a funny funny 70s/80s icon. Dom Deluise was big time back in the day and someone this (your) generation is almost completely unaware. On first watch, this cracked me the fuck up and I've been waiting all season (counting the episodes) to see you react. I'm underwhelmed but that's not being critical of you; it's in my court for thinking this is the most enjoyable episode in the series to this point. For your own sake google Dom and you'll find some good sort videos that cover his "show biz" career. He was always likable even if sometimes he was over the top.

17:40 They need to have the SGC's acquisition of technology be a trickle or they'd become too powerful too fast, it's why pretty much the same bad guys are still a threat after 3 seasons, they make some tech advances here and there but at the end of the show they have the collective knowledge of several races to sift through and a ton of alien/reverse engineered tech to use.

there is no time dilation, he erase the memory of the team. The serie constantly shows how bad humans are, not so much the sg1 but the rest of the world. That is why the same series shows that the most advanced civilizations do not want to give technology to the earth. As much as they are defensive, since they generate massive energy and can be used among human nations as weapons. Basically the show says that technology comes with a paradigm of people's thinking that takes a technological step. A weapon in the hands of a Neanderthal is more dangerous than a peaceful human today. And there is still Neanderthal thinking today, otherwise there would not be so many people killed by weapons.

Ugo's actor was the voice of Jeremy the Crow in The Secret of NHIM, as Tiger the Cat in An American Tail and as Itchy Itchiford in All Dogs Go to Heaven. He was a prolific voice actor for animated children's films in the 70's 80's and 90's. He also has made an appearance in most of Mel Brooks comedies. Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs and Robin Hood Men in Tights.

If Urgo didn't have like MEGA ADHD and could shut up every so often he could have been extremely useful. Instantaneous telepathic tactical communication between members of SG-1, perfect radio comms that don't alert the enemy by sound, if he was more of a team player, Urgo could rival the Tok'ra in terms of the "two heads are better than one" strategy

Best thing about the Stargate shows is that you probably can't even imagine how much more there is to see... if you need some motivation to keep watching, I highly recommend this video from JaapVSWDelta. It is an awesome action video with some scenes from the series...
