It’s the future for practice bikes, it’s not about loving the sound of the gasoline engine. It’s about having the skills to ride a gasoline engine with a clutch, and everything else, that’s the fun of it all not just pulling a throttle back like a minibike.
@leo2502Ай бұрын
That’s what riding gas bikes with manual transmissions is about. Which I love. But this is a different thing with a different set of skills just like the shape and use of a baseball is different than the shape and use of a football is different. It’s a different class of motorcycle. Both have advantages and both have limitations, but if you can adapt, you can be successful with either. If you try and ride them exactly the same, whatever you’re used to will seem better.

We heard the same things when 4-strokes started replacing 2-strokes. Yet 4-strokes are out numbering 2-strokes, despite the higher purchase and repair costs.

Does your bike have electric start? If so, why do you accept the use of electric start over a kick starter? Shouldn't your skill prevent you from stalling the bike when riding? Having electric start makes it easier for you to fire up the bike after you make a mistake. That means it lessens the need for skill to ride and you should be against that. Right?

I wonder if this bike gets tracked and can be disabled remotely, since now it has integrated GPS...

Mx varg already had integrated gps from day 1 . …It tracks the rides and saves them gps data in the phone , and yes the bike can already be disabled remotely by stark but it’s through the SIM card in the bike not gps . . Phones has a sim card and there is one in the inverter somwhere

😂 I have all the skills but these bikes are amazing you must ride one before you spew off the TDS style comments. The thing to remember is these will only get better and possibly multiple speeds in a clutch down the road.

6 hours of ride time. How many hours is a comparable gas enduro/dual sport?
@leo2502Ай бұрын
Well, unlimited if you have access to fuel, but it depends on the bike. I’ve eaten through an entire tank of fuel in 3 hours on certain bikes, and on my trail bike, where I’m not on the throttle 100 percent of the time I can easily go 6-7 hours without a refuel. The style of riding, fuel consumption of that specific model, and tank size can make them vary quite a bit. I ride a good average of 5 hours per ride on trails. If that can confidently get me there, I’m happy. If that’s like the EPA estimate on teslas, I’ll have to wait a few generations for batteries to improve

I dont get why buy this bike as a plated version unless you're going to be a strictly street hooligan. Why burn a third of your battery to get to the trail. Maybe just green sticker it and have it alongside my 2018 300 2 smoker.

They need to include an e-clutch, not to switch gears, but as a motor power cut off, like an ICE where we can use the clutch to cut or add power to the wheel.

The throttle is progressive and can not be blipped as quickly as a pull of the clutch lever in conjunction with the throttle to disengage and engage power output in a split second.

@@falcosparverius1 if we are talking of an EClutch the throttle can do the exact same there are some advantages but having more control on the rear brake and a free leg is way more advantageous

Gas all the way, Electric is boring and slow top end. But the future of electric will never happen, all these countries wanting to go greener and phase out gas will never happen, there's not enough minerals in the world to do so, its not sustainable and bad for the environment in mining, and there simply isn't enough electricity.
