By 2012 there has been a distinct change in millers style. Before he tried to he more like Garth Ennis with the higher level of edge, but by 2012 his style shifted to be more like Rob Kirkmans, realistic but very genuine. Jupiter's legacy was the prime recipient of this writing change, which is why I will never stop being pissed that the show got canceled

Honestly considering the fact that Millar's more wholesome works flow so naturally, it's kind of impressive that his edgy stuff is as "good" as it is.

danny, i believe you might be confused on the meaning of the castle with no doors. there are doorways there but the kingfisher is so comfortable thinking that there is no one that can get him he didn't bother putting actual doors on them. also i want to point out how cool Duke McQueen's name is. it's a mash up of two very iconic hollywood actors. John Wayne and Steve McQueen = Duke McQueen. i bet if they said DMcQ's middle name it would be James or Dean. Duke Dean McQueen has a nice ring to it.

Watching Danny Malt's videos about Mark Miller's works I was able to put into words something that annoys me the most in Miller's comics, even more than the swear words or edgy situations, or casual racism. It's his portrait of Genius villains/heroes. People that got two Phds by the age of 8, and became self made billionaires by the age of 11 or that have detailed plans tied to specific people and situations setup 10 years in advance. C'mon, there's no suspension of disbelief on the world to deal witn that.
