God, this takes me back, as a kid growing up in the 60's, the whole family would sit around crying with laughter at Alf Garnet and his take on the (then) modern World. Thank you.

It's hard to believe but members of the royal family were sat in the royal box watching them 😂

No, the Royals can't be "sat" anywhere. They were sitting there though, by their own choice. 😅

Do you know that they preformed this in front of the Royal Family hence the second bow to the side 👑👸👑

Mary Whitewash is a sly reference to Mary Whitehouse who campaigned to keep "filth off the tv" this seems to have been recorded at the Royal Variety performance (Previously known as the Royal Command Performance) which always took place in the prescence of a member of the Royal Family often the Queen herself The Royal Variety Performance still runs to this day

Of course they were talking about former Pm the Late Margaret Thatcher and before that former PMS Edward Heath and Harold Wilson!

KZbin's auto-translate feature did not do a very good job on that video, did it?Probably best to have it turned off next time you react to a video with stronger accents and local slang like that.

As previously mentioned. TURN OFF THE SUBTITLES. They are never right. She said bowels & the subtitles said bells, then you sat there looking confused. Turn them off, they're shit.

Bad Subtitles again he is saying "Scouse Git" a scouse or scouser is someone who originates from Liverpool and the Diddy men being referred to are the Diddy men associated with the late Sir Ken Dodd (whom we only lost a few years back and was 90 years old)

In one tour, Hans Teeuwen slowly licked the Dutch Queen on stage with his long tongue, and calling her name when she asked him to do something extra : 'Yes, of course Beatrix..ouch! ...My Majesty! ....And keep on licking very, very slowly. Next: caressed her breasts and said: '... mmmhh .... Apples Of Orange.' - Of course he was acting, but would that be allowed in England and/or the USA?
@t.a.k.palfrey3882Ай бұрын
The US made their version of this sitcom (as they have with so many others). This time, though, the American rip-off wasn't bad at all. The series, All in the Family, ran for seven seasons. It was set in Queens NY, and had a characted named Archie Bunker as the equivalent to Alf Garnett. Of course, being an American series, the language was not as edgy as the British one.

The language and deeds of comedians in The Netherlands - like Hans Teeuwen and also Theo Maassen - is more edgy than the British. Bill Hicks (US) was closer to those Dutch, but at times also way too chaotic.
