THANK YOU Dr Ross. Awesome books, talk, pod casts and interviews. They all shine the reality of CHRIST in a dark world.

I have been a believer in Christ since I was 18 but the science part was a stumbling block! Thank You Hugh for clearing that up !

Genesis is history. My faith survived my science education, even through university, because I was always convinced Noah's Flood actually happened. I could see the evidence everywhere I looked, and I considered billions of years to be a catastrophic failure of teaching mathematics in education. If people had any concept of the numbers they're spouting, and putting that together with erosion rates, genetic entropy, and fossil beds, they would know that billions of years is just Marxist propaganda. It's actually an extremist view. Stand on the Word of God. The Bible is true.

Great talk! There's such a misunderstanding about old earth creationism. It's too bad that the interpretation gets lumped in with non literal interpretations, as well as theistic evolution, by many young earth creationists.

Wow. So true. We actually think we have evolved and we are smarter, better informed than the ancients. The ancients probably knew more about the heavens than us!

As a young earth creationist, I have to say Dr. Ross is one of the greatest Christian apologist of this age, and I think he may go down as one of the best of all times. He has a unique blend of intelligence, charisma, and a way of speaking his mind that few people have. This being said, the only criticism I would have would be the little jab at the answers in genesis folks that he used during the lecture. What really made me take notice of Dr. Ross was his early debates with young earth creationist. It wasn’t the information he gave that made him stand out. It was how he interacted with those with whom he disagreed. While you could detect hostility from the young earth creationist towards Dr. Ross, Dr. Ross never responded in the same way to them. It was this humble spirit combined with his obvious intellect that drew me to him. His gentle nature and humble spirit, to me, makes him stand out among the rest. I hate to say it, but you don’t usually see this from from my side. The reason I say, this is because I do want a better dialogue between young earth old earth creationist. This jab Dr. Ross gave during the lecture doesn’t help in the dialogue between the camps. Not to say that one could not bring up contentions like this in a humorous way, that is to show the differences in the mindsets in a way that’s plainly stated, but in a playful way. But the way Dr Ross stated to me seemed to be an obvious insult towards young earth creationist that he should have avoided.

So well spoken! right out of my heart. As a passionate natural scientist my convictions in view of the 'days' in Genesis are OEC of course. I have also been insulted more than once by YEC's. But I keep constantly having a look on the arguments from the other side. greetings from Germany, brother.

By reading the Bible literally, I don’t get this young earth perspective. Only when taught by someone, someone tells you that earth has only a few thousand of years.. If you shut off everybody, read it yourself, the Bible never said that. The most telling is the first verse. And then the second verse. Finally, the key to it is the frame of reference. I did not get it from Hugh Ross. Read it yourself

In your slide titled Theologians on Evolution, it says "Forward" instead of "Foreword".

The existence of God is the same premise as the assumptions of science, namely, that there is something making all the facts in reality consistent with each other so that causes will have their effects. And this something exists everywhere, at all times, and controls everything that happens. It is not physical but an abstract principle that governs all of nature. It is the Truth that corresponds to reality. The scientists take it for granted; the religious marvel at it.

Seeds, Entropy, Beauty, Love, Infinity....and a promised end to evil. 1John 5: 19 " the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. " 2Peter3: 13 " But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to His promise and in these righteousness is to dwell. " Matt6: 10 " Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. " Matt24: 14 " And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Saul's look outside and wait when its stories about your mind you see, inside darkness is unseen God of kingdom your flesh mind can't see it, no science, stars, sun, planets, can save but waken Paul went inside called Saul, no man, no Jewish outside can wake you. What about John Baptist called greatest born of woman's womb but least to what? Looking outside and waiting or is it 2Cor 13:Christ where? What about Luke 17:20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. So looking outside is great flesh but least proof.
