What a Beast, loved playing this thing as the Flagship of my Salvage Fleet. There's a real soft-spot in my heart for any of the quirked up Asymmetrical cruisers in Starsector, and this thing scratches an itch that few other ships can.

I've always have one of those (*Providence class*) in my fleet in every playthrough because you can refit a lot of good loadouts for this ship from brawler and long range support to pd central and anti carrier roles.

providence is amazing in general, not only its fast but can be refitted for a lot of roles like u said, its an impressive ship thats also only 45 DP aswell

i found her in a small system, just sitting there nearby a barren world, floating in orbit, when i saw the markings i fucking jumped, and instantly made it my flag ship

I love the asymertric design philosophy. But my heart will always and forever belong to the Throne class. Ran that thing for all it was worth. Esepecially the one that has "Wrath of the machine". Never got the AI to be quite as agressive with it as I would like. They'd keep at minimum range, and reckless and agressive over extended like nobodies business.

@@Shadows_101 I mean. Yea and no. I'm just replying because I'm bored. But I'm not trolling. Thinking that an old or not very hi-res is bad because it's graphics are bad is a bit backwards in thinking. Yes it's 2023. Yes graphically games are really good looking now. But games are just that, games. If you wanted ultimate graphical fidelity then go watch a live action movie. Unless it's the main selling point graphics typically take a backseat to allow more time and effort to be put into the gameplay and story. Yea Starsector is top down 2D. Yea everything is sprite-work with the exception of the backgrounds. Yea a lot of it is reading. But in the works. In the back behind the graphics. Is a fully simulated economy and faction system. Behind the 'lackluster' non 4k graphics is a game that can run on my 4 year old laptop that wheezes for air the moment I open a third chrome tab. I'm running out of steam to keep typing here as I'm no longer bored enough to interact with you and need to catch a bus in 15 minutes. I'm not expecting to change your mind. Only you can do that Toodles
