Looking in your eyes I see a paradise This world that I've found is too good to be true Standing here beside you, want so much to give you This love in my heart that I'm feeling for you Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care about that Put your hand in my hand baby don't ever look back Let the world around us just fall apart Baby we can make it if we're heart to heart And we can build this thing together Stand this stormy weather Nothings gonna stop us now And if this world runs out of lovers We'll still have each other Nothing's gonna stop us Nothing's gonna stop us now I'm so glad I found you, I'm not gonna lose you Whatever it takes I will stay here with you Take it to the good times, see it through the bad times Whatever it takes here's what I'm gonna do Let 'em say we're crazy, what do they know Put your arms around me baby don't ever let go Let the world around us just fall apart Baby we can make it if we're heart to heart And we can build this thing together Stand this stormy weather Nothing's gonna stop us now And if this world runs out of lovers We'll still have each other Nothing's gonna stop us Nothing's gonna stop us now Oh, all that I need is you All that I ever need And all that I want to do Is hold you forever, and ever and ever And we can build this thing together Stand this stormy weather Nothings gonna stop us now And if this world runs out of lovers We'll still have each other Nothing's gonna stop us Nothing's gonna stop us now

The guitar player is wearing a St. Louis blues jersey and he just nailed that solo. Fantastic version. I love it. Mickey is brilliant. They were getting nothing from crowd and he fucking killed it. True professional. Mickey Thomas is a genuine bad ass

I agree but I'll tell you this song is not the same without Grace. Not even close. Speaking of amazing voices I'm going to make two suggestions to you and you would be doing yourself a serious disservice by not checking these out. I'll be very specific as well.. 1. Poets of The Fall - War 2. Nahko - Love Letters to God Humor me and check those out. You won't be sorry.

To Darren Hall...he did not sound horrendous! He has an amazing voice! This was 1996...and that recording is straight off of the soundboard. Do you know what that even means? Not like now...where you go to a show and leave saying "Man they sound better than ever". That is called technology! I hate to break it to you pal...but in 2014 most all bands CHEAT! Backing vocals are on a pre-recorded track for sure. Also, they can pitch the lead singers vocals up to be in tune now (while singing over a pre-recorded track). That's why old bands like Aerosmith, Kiss, Black Sabbath (Ozzy), etc. sound better now. Oh...and the ultimate example.."Van Halen" with DLR back. What a JOKE! I saw him solo in '06 in a small club! HE WAS AWFUL! Suddenly with a reunion tour with "Van Halen" in 2007 he sounds great? Get a grip! He is singing over A PRE-RECORDED TRACK! Do you REALLY think they get better with age. You need a reality check! This however was raw and no mixing. Mickey sounded great and THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS show Jeff Tamelier!!! :)

what happened to his duet? where's the gal???
@VigilanteVegan6 жыл бұрын
Grace Slick left the band by this point. Now when Mickey Thomas sings this, he has a new woman with whom he tours to sing the duets (he's older now). But i guess in the 90s he did it all solo.
