Idk if its just me, but the gore from the movie made the bugs all the more terrifying watching it as a kid. Would like to see them incorporate that same feeling somehow into the game.

You will be surprised how hard it is to get good gore to work in a game especially non-scripted gore. Plus with so many enemies on screen having that popping off constantly without losing frames is gonna be tough even on the most holiest of grail PCs.

I've played this game for 20 hours now and I do a job that is vital. Arc/Gate guarding. It ain't much but it's honest work. When we start I guard the arc when the base gets built I guard the gates. Opening the doors for canister carriers and their guards. Cover them while they approach and while they head back out. Revive anyone that gets downer near me. You can play this game in many ways. buy it. Don't think about it. Buy it. Buy it now.

the ARC mode is my favourite, you end up bonding with your server as the games can sometimes go up to 1hr. When the extraction happens, I’ve had games where we’ve made it within seconds to the drop ship after doing a retreat where we are firing and running backwards like the movie

I would say it plays similar to EDF Armageddon (the one based in Detorit) but with less weapons at the moment and slightly less hectic once you know what to do. If you like EDF you'll like the game.

You should watch Uchuu no Senshi, a Starship Troopers anime by Sunrise, it is good and Mobile Infantry suits are very close to the book (by the way, did you read THE NOVEL ITSELF?) Though it isn't totally like book, it is still its own thing.

In the book they had this amazing thing called power armor with jump jets (check the anime not the 3D one) but instead of following through with the books lore, they changed it to foot infantry instead! And when they did put them in the movies, it was the last movie at the end?! While in the book they were in the beginning!

They should have me some sort of first person tower defense. Give the player a mini gun and mow the bugs army advancing towards you down. That's what the movie are about, getting eventually overrun and going to safety.

I would prefer a finished game made after the novel, where you would pilot a Marauder battle armor instead of being canon fodder from the movies. I believe one of the initial games that was developed after the first movie was originally aired was such a battle armor "simulator", unfortunately it was never finished.
