Yours is the only demo showing the clusterflux in stereo I can find on KZbin.

… I do my best 😂

I dont have this one, but I do have the first four Foogers and a CP251, and I love using my 104Z as a chorus, by turning the delay time super short, and using the external loop to run the echo thru the Phaser for some wild tones! I know this is an older video, but I found it looking for videos on the new plug ins.

Does it go short enough to borderline sound like a flange?

I’ve been looking at the cluster and the analog delay. Got the ring mod already. Thanks for the demo!

Oh my gosh! This pedal is AWESOME!! Need one so bad!

Positive vs. negative feedback is about the phase of the signal being reintroduced. Positive means it’s the same phase as it came in, negative means it’s flipped 180 before it’s fed back in :D Negative feedback is very useful in stuff like guitar power amps since it allows you to filter out frequencies you like and then reintroduce the unwanted frequencies at the input of the power amp, but out-of-phase, so that it cancels them out. Presence/depth/resonance controls on guitar amplifiers are commonly implemented this way, since the necessary presence of the phase inverter in a class AB power amp means there’s a very convenient phase-inverted signal right there that you can just high-pass and feed back in or whatnot.

Well there you go. Now I know ... thanks for that 👍

I have no hardware however I loaded my iPads with soft synths having fun anyway. I'm also sampling your videos! I'm looking forward to getting some copyright strikes and take down notices from you ;-)

Loving this series mate. Not sure if you saw my commodore pet at DoES? Got a new music related vid on my channel using it.

Amazing and inspirational! Got both a GrandMother and a Clusterflux, but've yet to try them together. Can you explain the signal chain a bit? Does it require a stereo cable or anything? You had a patch cable in the Grandmother at some point of the video, but not the end...
@StarskyCarr4 жыл бұрын
The patch cable was left over from another video, it wasn’t doing anything here. All you need is a standard jack-jack. It’s mono in so really simple, with stereo outputs, again just simple jacks.

Have you tried playing it (the Cluster Flux) as a synth? Haven't tried it for a few years but as I remember it, it sounds nice.

Hi I can by one moogerfooger for my synths, which would you recommend, I also asked if you think the obx8 is worth it? I have a Moog grand mother, prophet 6, polybrute, fantom 8?
@StarskyCarr Жыл бұрын
My favourite of the MoogerFoogers has to be the delay - but I guess why its the most expensive! The OBX8 is a massive luxury. I bought one, but still feel a bit odd about it tbh. I definitely don't 'need' it - it was a purely exuberant purchase I remain in two minds about. Its great, and has a different tone to what you already have - but then so does the OB6 at £2k less.

Morning Starsky Carr from Canada. How do you have all the gear plugged in?
@StarskyCarr4 жыл бұрын
I have them hooked up to a patch bait - but not very successfully as some inputs break the connection when plugged in and some need dummy plugs/resistors etc.. Top tip from someone was to simply turn them all round so you've always got easy access to the back!

Do Moog still make the fooger series? They're very desirable and don't understand why they would be discontinued.
@girlinagale4 жыл бұрын
I could just Google it but prefer a chat :-)

I’ve no idea either.. they brought out the mini moogerfoogers with I think the same circuitry but much reduced functionality. Maybe they just became obsolete with more interest in the smaller and cheaper range.
@lockyp2043 жыл бұрын
@@StarskyCarr probably smaller profit margins, and harder to obtain parts. Especially with the BBD delay

I'm desperately looking for this kind of effect since i borrowed the clusterflux from a friend. coupled with a simple volca kick this thing is pure madness. I'm not interested in the lfo section, just that self-oscillating synth sound with a lot of harmonic content, if anybody has infos on a cheaper but similar flanger that does that I'm very interested !

An early Electric Mistress is a great flanger

...when a person can afford these glorious pedals without discovering the knowledge behind the difference between positive feedback and negative feedback, that's when we know the system is broken...
