Great video! I've been watching these exciting videos and even learn the small tips for years although we're under war since a +year and blockade since 18 years here in Gaza, I hope I'll get my ferro rod one day and try these charming sparks ✨, thank you. Liked & Subed.🪵🔥

very good instruction! I had not seen that technique before (the laying the rod on the stick and using a large stick for the feathers)

You are one of the first i have see on vid that add fine scrapeing to there feather sticks. I do this all the time . Sometimes i cheat a little and add tiny amount if cotton and lip balm to the scraping to get it to light with less strokes on the ferro rod. In a survival got to get it to light the boy scout way to take your knife and scrape your jeans or socks for lint to add to the feathers stick. BTW it lights better if you hold the stick more upright to let gravity help the sparks fall into the center of your feather stick.

What kind of experience do you have and how long have you taught survival

@@RobertBrown-n6h I don’t consider myself a teacher of survival necessarily. I have a few skills and I do enjoy sharing them, but I would never pretend to know more than I actually do. I grew up camping in the Boy Scouts and that developed into a love for the outdoors. I feel that I have some skills in fire lighting and basic shelter making, but of course there’s always room to grow. I have been in the field of public education for 22 years so I would consider my abilities to teach a skill clearly and plainly to be fairly strong. Hope this helps you get to know a little more about me

Look at his ferro rod that's from uneven pressure and lack of knowledge on use
