I learn so much from both of your channels! I started watching you 2 years ago when I needed low-cost high-impact ideas about raising chickens. I'm in North Alabama and have red clay for dirt. However, having the chickens in the garden area for the past 3 years has really improved the soil. By scratching and pooping, chickens are great tillers and composters. Now i need to move them to another segment of my property so I can grow yummy food. They jump into the garden beds/boxes and destroy seedlings and plants either by scratching, dusting, or just plain eating them.

When I buy plants if my seed starts don't do well I actually look for containers that have two or more in them. I then rinse away the mixture from their roots and gently separate them and gain a couple more plants for the price of one. It's not for everybody, but you get the hang of it and don't lose those extra plants. Nicely done video!

Love the dynamic with your Mom, an observation or so, the "organic" home depot plants are almost $1 more than the "non-organic". These fields are typically owned by the same company, land adjacent to each other, so this is as "organic" as Brittany Spears is a great musician. Even the Home Depot "non-organic" transplants are about $3.85 per plant, that same 4" pot of Roma tomatoes are $2.25 at our high-end nursery, so it's buy 2 get the 3rd free compared to HD, and A) The nursery has larger transplants B) 90% of HD's transplants are tomatoes and peppers, good luck finding fruit or even common veggies like potatoes and carrots C) The HD plants are often bone-dry meaning they are not watered properly, you'd be lucky to keep them alive. Keep up the good work!
