Having said that, I'm working on another one that will be open to the public but it will be a while as I need to do some planning around that. You're not the only person asking. Thank you.

Love love love those boho earrings!! 💙🖤💙 What a shame the connectors aren’t available in the UK, but I’ll try to find something similar. I love your tip about ensuring all loop closures face the back - I try to do this on all my jewellery, it’s such a small detail but makes all the difference to the finished result. Thank you as always Carol ❤

I knew you would love these, Jane! I do too. They are definitely going into my collection. The connectors are very old stock so I'm not surprised that you can't find them. I did find something similar on Amazon which I linked to in the blog post but they aren't the same.

First of all a Happy 2024 ! I always find it hard to work my pliers around a crimp cover. I do it very carefully, but they can be quite hard and not that easy to work with and they end up looking egg shaped even though I try to work it from all sides.......and then I can't get them off and I have to start over when it's at the end...I have now bought some shrimp beads to try.
@The_Stylish_Maker8 ай бұрын
Happy 2024 to you as well. Yes, crimp covers are actually my nemesis too. What I've found is that if you use your crimping pliers rather that your chain nose pliers it seems to work better. Also I squeeze it closed and then turn a quarter turn and squeeze again and continue on until I get it round. I hope that helps.
@floatingisland5448 ай бұрын
Thank you, I have tried all pliers, even my magical pliers which I find work okay on small crimp covers. Maybe it just depends on the material the crimp covers are made of, I wonder sometimes.....but I try to avoid them as much as I can.@@The_Stylish_Maker

I have a dumb question: How do I harvest the beads off a knotted bead necklace without damaging the beads? Just snippers and tweezers? What if the cord gets stuck inside the bead?
@The_Stylish_Maker6 ай бұрын
Hi Ida, no dumb questions. You would need to snip on one side of every bead. They should fall off without any damage if you're careful. Glass beads and pearls are much hardier than you think. Just give it a try.

Why don't you use a looper to make the loops?
@The_Stylish_Maker6 ай бұрын
Good question, Janet. I often do use my 1 step looper to make loops - you can see a video about that here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ3SgpV8mcyCpcUsi=lYbhxiaxjnw-dBGn. However, most beginners are not going to have a 1 step looper and there are times when you can't use your 1 step looper so it's important to know how to make loops yourself. As this was a beginner project, I wanted to teach them how to make loops.

@The_Stylish_Maker8 ай бұрын
@@shelleywebb2542 Thanks for the clarification. I haven't done a tutorial for a necklace like this. What you would need to do is put each end of your stringing material through the crimp tube in opposite directions and then crimp it. I hope that makes sense.

@The_Stylish_Maker8 ай бұрын
Thank you Miriam. Most pieces don't tarnish as they are generally coated with something to stop tarnishing. However, it's actually about how you store your jewellery. You want to make sure that your jewellery is stored somewhere dry (damp is the enemy). I store mine in plastic bags with anti-tarnish tissue paper like this: amzn.to/4286otR

beautiful, you make it look easy, I only got aluminum wire will that work to?
@The_Stylish_Maker7 ай бұрын
Thank you. Aluminium wire is softer than half hard wire. It's very malleable which makes it ideal for wire wrapping. If you are making loops (not wire wrapped loops), I would not use aluminium wire as it may not hold its shape. You could wire wrap the loops if you wanted to. If you have headpins, they are usually made from half hard wire so you could cut the end off - not sure if it will be long enough but worth a shot.
