Thank you Dr. Lyon, I so appreciate you doing this podcast. I just ordered Mitopure Urolithin A, with your discount. I’ve been into anti-aging for over 20 years and have worked out weightlifting since I was 19 years old, now 64. As a cardiovascular intensive care nurse for over 33 years, I knew how important it was to take care of yourself.

Thank you, Dr Lyon & Chris Rinch for this eye opening presentation. It would be fantastic if, besides muscle performance, you could discuss about cartilage and ligaments which are much less able to improve and repair themselves than muscle and what compounds are studied or might be studied in the future to support those tissues and the extracellular matrix that no one seems to be talking about, although it's one of the most ubiquitous reasons for which people cannot exercise, because their joints and ligaments are damaged.

@rigaleb Scott Hogan's book - "Built from Broken" ... Is your answer. Would be awesome if Dr. L would actually interview him.😊 ...and yes, you are right - no one seems to be talking about connective tissue. Almost like it just doesn't exist. I mean, it ONLY supports our muscles & skeletal structure😮 But, yah - for your own personal knowledge - get the book.

My mitochondria has trouble making energy due to chronic mercury poisoning over many decades. Can this substance (Urolithin-A) help with this issue? Is it safe for people with heavy metal issues?

Thank you so much for this. It struck a chord on so many levels. Ive been suffering with a number of health issues at 68. My microbiome is dysbiotic, low on diversity, and I’m wondering if that would prevent the absorption of urolithinA. From this interview my understanding is it woukdnt, but my body is probably not producing any on its own because of the microbiome dysbiosis. I’m not very active due to other health issues, I’d say pre-fragile, and am sarcopenic. I am going to order the product as I start an exercise regimen. One thing I thought of in the older community is this May be a good adjunct supplement for those who are osteoporotic, as muscle mass is required for strong bones. It gives me a lot to think about. Thank you. .

I'm wondering about the negative side effects of harmful additives in Mitopure. In particular the sunflower lecithin oil & iron oxide color? Most sunflower oil is rancid upon production & iron oxide is RUST, which is a reactive oxygen product. Why did they taint a great compound with toxicity?

I'm wondering the same. I was excited to see what Dr. Lyon recommends in protein shakes because I need a new one and was disappointed in 1st phorm protein because of the surculose and food dyes.

Me too. I've tried a couple 1stphorm products - ended up returning all, as, imo, not only not up to snuff , but outrageously overpriced. Also, NO discount codes whatsoever @1stPhorm.

Im surprised the study used just the juice instead of the whole fruit, especially when looking at the gut biome - you would think the fruit’s fiber would have an impact in the absorption.

I eat pomegranate every morning, the fruit and the pits since there are significant amounts of tanins in them. I guess my gut does the right thing, I am almost 66 yo and my VO2max is 54. I also eat 4 walnuts daily, another good source

Maybe I'm missing something but can't we just eat these foods instead of paying hundreds of dollars a month for supplements? Don't think measuring the results of drinking one glass of juice translates to regular consumption over time, and microbiome changes over time in response to phytonutrients over time.

You may be right. However, there are those who are unable to exercise due to diseases like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which has affected skeletal muscles are unable to do exercises as HIIT. This may be a key to helping those with this condition address the now thought to be a mitochondrial problem/dysfunction seen in this condition.

The main deal is lots of peoples diets are loaded with deuterium and that kills down Mitochondria functions. Then the cells run on acid forming glycolysis. The low energy functions are always triggered by high sugar diets that shut down Kreb's cycles and more Mitochondria generation. The key is deuterium levels in their metabolic functions due to poor diets too loaded with deuterium
