Dang! I've just been stabbing a hole in the bottom of the can all these years! No one has really told me I've been doing it wrong - other than the occasional dirty looks in the restaurants and cheers at the pub...

This seems like a mix between the “Get all the foam out” zealots and the “Loose no carbonation” people. I like this. It’s a healthy medium. 👍

I've been doing this since the beer companies started with the wide mouth cans. I never thought about it, it just seemed to flow better. Sometimes good things need no thought

Got the pour down now. Just need to pour it at a slight angel. The glass was upright, and i pour it this way, and there were no bubbles, on the top. It was awesome. You would think they would design the can, for a smooth pour. But the can was designed by humans, so it has flaws. Thanks for the video.

Awesome! Yea I didn't know how much I needed to go into on how or why this way is better. I thought keeping the video shorter would be better than having it be 15min long or so. Glad you got it to work

I tried this and found it harder to pour smoothly. I will try again. I was a 16oz can, with the same mouth. Thanks for the alternative pour suggestion...Cheers!!!

Right, the tab and the cover can block the flow a little, plus the gap is wider at the side. Try it a few times with a Stout Beer, you'll see how easy it is to get that perfect pour.

Yes, especially if it's draft beer too. You don't know that last time the tap where cleaned. Also never have beer touch the taps

This couldn't be more wrong. Cans are overly carbonated. You want the carbonation to escape so you don't end up super bloated. Hold the glass straight up pour half the glass let it foam up and settle then drink. Cheers!
@HopsAndBrews
@HopsAndBrews Жыл бұрын
Where did you learn that. That is so not even close to the correct way to pour from a can

Beer out of a can is wrong anyway. I always get the taste of the plastic liner and some faint tinniness from the aluminum. I get the same taste from soda cans. I always get aggravated when companies like Ballast Point transition to cans. I used to like Sculpin, then I tried it out of a can, and it was kinda gross and, it turns out, not worth the $16 asking price for a 6 pack.
@HopsAndBrews

Yea there are some beers that definitely need the glass to them. You can taste a difference. I don't care what some people say

this is actually wrong. you want to get rid of carbonation with an aggressive pour
@HopsAndBrews
@HopsAndBrews Жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3bEinampailesk Half True, too aggressive of a pour is a bad thing. But having a bit of an aggressive pour at the end to open up the carbonation is correct. (see video link above)
