Recently, I've noticed a ton of new mountain bikers taking to the local trails. Whether you're visiting from out of town or just getting into mountain biking, the trail options in San Antonio are abundant. Navigating the trail systems in this city can even feel a bit overwhelming at first.
In today's adventure, I planned a route that will hopefully make your first ride in San Antonio go smoother.
I launched from the Fox Park Trailhead in Northwest San Antonio and rode some of my favorite trails along the Leon Creek Greenway as I made my way to O.P. Schnabel Park. From there, I made my way over to the downhill trails at Parkwood near Prue Road Trailhead.
Some of my favorite trails along this route include Birds of Prey, the Monkey Loop, and Mainline trail at Parkwood. Overall, this route is about nine miles in total and gives riders the opportunity to ride some of the funnest MTB trails along the Leon Creek Green way. The Strava link to this ride is below in the comments. I hope you enjoy!
As always feel free to stick around and subscribe so you don't miss out on the next adventure.
Thanks for watching and stay stoked!
