You're one of the best 3D/sculpting teachers I've seen. It's obvious that you're a very experienced, knowledgable, and kind person. I've spent a few months learning Blender 2.8 (coming from some previous Blender usage and 3DS Max years ago), which has decent sculpting in it, and your "from scratch" human male sculpting video was really inspiring and pushed me to sculpt more. You don't waste too much time and it's amazing watching you work, because every one of your strokes has a clear purpose and a lot of experience behind them. Very efficient. It's great that you can just make the lips in a few strokes, even at low poly, and you already get the "gesture" down. Zbrush seems to handle much more "polygons" (or rather pixels/pixols) and details better than blender, so I'm looking to switch over. This beginner tutorial helps. I appreciate it and I'm looking forward to more videos.

It was a great idea to show only the basics. Most of the starter videos on KZbin are enormous. You explained only what is critical to begin. This will be a huge help to people who are just starting out. Me, I just watched it because your positive spirit is so contagious.

Hey, Nikolay! Awesome tutorials and it sure made everything more clear to me. After watching your sculpting of the female head it really became obvious to me that having less polygons in the beginning is very efficient way of workflow and the sculpting not only became faster but also better!

You’re going to be my instructor from here on out. You have the best Zbrush tutorials on KZbin. I paid for a course on Udemy and wanted to give up afterwards. I’m going to try Zbrush again with your teaching.

Thank you man. I am flattered, but i also made some Zbrush courses that are on udemy, but they are for intermediate users of Zbrush. Maybe soon i will have to make a complete course for beginners to fill the gap :).

SpeedChar Awesome! We’re a 2D comic studio but we are just starting to build game assets and trying to find the right software to try out. I just added you on Artstation and I LOVE your work! You can see on my Artstation the very first sculpture I did in Zbrush. That was easy but now I’m stuck on arms, legs and fingers. Going to enroll in your courses on Udemy now.

@@TonyG718 my courses are only for intermediate Zbrush users, I rarely show basic stuff there, so most beginners are frustrated by them. But if you have the will power, by the middle of the course you will be intermediate user :). A question of motivation, you know.

@5:00 zbrush also utilize ram :) the more ram you have the higher you can go with poly counts without lag. I have 10 gb I can go up to 17m. That's why 16 GB ram is recommended

Hey man, I was dumb enough to not save my custom UI and now I am setting up everything once again from scratch for ZB2020. I looked again at your video about customizing ZB and I have one question. In the video you have some material called "Metal 01" which is like metal with strong, yellow rim light. I have set something similar for myself but would it be possible for you to share yours? I understand if you dont have time or dont want to do so, but it would be really cool if you could. Anyways it doesnt hurt to ask ;) Thanks for everything - back to setting ZB2020...
@SpeedChar5 жыл бұрын
Metal 01 is a normal material, which means that it doesn't have rim light on it. The rim light comes from the second light i have added to the scene.
