How often would u recommend Retwist starter locs? I've only Retwisted already existing locs

I’d keep them to a minimum unless needed. If I could do it all over I’d try to go a month without retwisting just to avoid that constant tension on my scalp. This answer could vary from person to person depending on your hair and scalp situation though.

Just got my first retwist and transitioned from free form to traditional. Got any tips? Cuz she 2 & 3 strand twisted some of em instead of cutting them and already they're coming undone so I find myself using Cantu locking gel and rubber bands at the moment 😅..

Spray it morning and night. Wash once a month then when it starts to mature you can wash on a weekly basis. And always wear a bonnet or Duran to sleep to keep the moisture in your hair
