STARTER LOCS TUTORIAL: TWO STRAND TWISTS {KIESHA ARIELLE}
What's good guys?! So sorry for the delayed upload today I swear I need to get my laptop fixed, nonetheless as the saying goes: "Better Late than Never".
In today's video I would love to share with you how I started my Loc Journey by demonstrating on my son's hair. Yes, he too has begun his journey and I can hardly wait to see how they blossom.
I am using the exact methods I used when starting my locs, so this will give you an insight on my parting pattern and loc method which I have spoken on many times. I intend to maintain his locs the same way I do mine, as you would have seen I use the same moisturizing technique when prepping his hair.
You will also see how I secure my roots in the beginning which helped with keeping my starter locs looking neater for longer (interlocking). If you are interested in purchasing the latch hook crochet needle I used to interlock then click this link:
CROCHET LATCH HOOK NEEDLE: ebay.to/2tHZigA
I hope you all enjoy this video and be sure to THUMBS UP, LEAVE A COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE!!!

Kiesha Arielle thank you! I don’t really want to continue interlocking I’ve seen that the locks are not a soft as twisted ones. I have mixed hair that behaves both like Caucasian and African American hair so while my twisted ends are holding I now have about 5 inches at the root that are no longer twisted after two weeks and no tangling yet so I’m going to wash deep condition comb out and start fresh ❤️

Great job. I'll be starting my daughters locs in a week or so. I considered braidlocs. But I think I will two strand twist them. I'll start it off by braiding at the roots. And taking a needle and black thread to hold the ends from unraveling. He did a great job at sitting still!!

@@kieshaarielle yes☺. I need advice. My twin daughters are turning 9 next month. They have 4c texture hair. I'm going bananas trying to learn and under the differences between all the different locs and what would be best for them. I'm trying to teach them how to love themselves as they are. Girls are teasing them at school about their hair🙁. I don't want them to think something is wrong with their hair because it's not straight or curly. Basically I'm trying to choose what is best for them to start their hair/spiritual journey. I've came across coil twist, braid locs, two strand twist. I don't know which to choose from.

Beautiful job. So cute. Its time for my two strand starter locks to be retwisted and I think I will interlock at the roots like that before my first wash. But now it looks like your using a latchook and not a crochet hook. Is it? I crochet and that doesnt look like a crochet hook. Not sure tho because I'm using my phone screen and am not on my computer.

Kiesha Arielle I did my first wash last week. The back 3 rows of my hair and the rest are totally different grades..its crazy, I know. I have 4c hair mostly but the back 3 rows are 4a. (there, It wont even comb coil...comes out like a twisted wave) So those unraveled with the wash. So I retwisted my roots overall, and did new 2-strand twists for those back rows then interlocked them with the latchook. So far so good.

I love this! I want to start my own loc journey this week. I love how you didn’t use any product, do I need to use any sort of gel to do my twists or can just keep them product-free?
