How do you measure the required distance from flex plate to starter to determine thickness of shim to use?

I have a Coyote bolted to a TH400 so, aftermarket bellhousing, and the starter makes noise for a second or so after I let go of the start button like it's releasing slow/over-engaged so hopefully these will fix that.

It does sound like the same problem we had and why we made these. Make sure you are using the 3 bolt modular ford starter or something with the same bolt pattern as these are specifically for that style.

@@PowerByTheHourPerformance Yes, it's the correct starter. Aftermarket flexplat might also be contributing to an engagement depth issue. I ordered a set of your spacers so well see. Thanks.
