He started with $500, but he had the skills to build out multiple websites, supply chain, design of products and so forth without those skills you could easily end up spending 100s of thousands in acquiring those skills sets so I'm not sure it's always fair to put a number to starting a business because it's a bit of an illusion. It's not that someone doesn't work hard, but we're talking about years of acquiring the skills and connections to do that which for many is invaluable. I really do think these interviews should start with what the labor costs would be if they didn't do the labor themselves or at least go over those skill sets to do it and how they were acquired. My best guess is his partners have some of those skills because I'll be honest design is one of the harder areas I've ran into, but I've seen some people with amazing skills in design, but just kind of subpar organization skills so they usually do need a partner to get businesses like this started.

The main reason for the title is to attract people to watch the video. It was the reason for why I and I am sure others clicked on the video, but I definitely agree with what you are saying, there is so much more to it.
@TomikaKelly Жыл бұрын
That's what I'm realizing with most of these interviews. They all seem like brilliant entrepreneurs who can teach a lot but realistically they all possess SOMETHING that the next person doesn't have that allows them to make the money they make.
@donaldlyons17 Жыл бұрын
They don't want to tell the F*CKING TRUTH about what is needed. It might not get many views and what KZbinr do you see saying well it is impossible to do X for the majority of people unless it is a comparison video.....
@calebplumleeoutdoors10 ай бұрын
Also he said he started with $500, but his family owned 24 restaurants in India... and his family gave up everything "from a family perspective" to send him away... Sincerely wonder if he had lots of personal money and only put $500 in the business, but had the rest of life's expenses covered
@TheRealKCKay6 ай бұрын
All of the skills you mentioned do not cost much to learn and doesn’t take years either. You can design on canvas for free. You can build websites on Wix for free and learn from that. You can learn about supply chain from KZbin. He networked with people he went to school with. Don’t make excuses. Just face your fears and get to work

Nice content! Few years back i was assistant to a wealthy pen artist and within the short period i worked with him i observed that he had quite a chunk of invp everywhere, stocks, crypto, dividend investing to name a few, so he had revenues coming in from all angles. And in a year his worth doubled. With this i learned that the rich stay rich by investing.
@sammiller01 Жыл бұрын
i agree with this but the problem now is getting to make the right investments, Lots of people tend to lose their money while investing thereby making them lose interest and also end up discouraging other individuals around them.
@morrisjohnson2544 Жыл бұрын
I think the major challenges investors face may range from controlling impulsiveness to the frail of compulsion. Most newbies and would-be investors often undermine and most often neglect the importance of technical analysis with regards to investing. Technical analysis overly predicts the movement of asset prices regardless of what is happening in the wider or broader market. Essentially, the process involves studying the paths of a particular asset movement in the past so as to establish a sustainable pattern that can be used to predict future movements or better still get an investment advisor who'd guide you and help you manage your portfolio just like my boss back then, He was working with an IA Shana Heckel and i would bet he still does. I can boldly recommend him because i've witnessed his performance first hand. he's the real deal.

Also in any business your almost absolutely lucky to break-even in the 1st 2-3 years for all the expenses, costs, and fees generated for starting a business, the operations of a business is to extinguish all of your liabilities, so it outweighs your costs. (That is a fact.)

$10M in revenue or profit? Annually or lifetime? Debt levels? So many questions these guys never answer. Lots of overhead and royalties doing what they are and generally low margin as wholesale. Dude also mentioned his family having 24 restaurants in India... so was it really just $500 he started with, or was it $500 investment plus lots of money in the bank from family supporting his life? (common theme with people claiming "started from nothing") Props to him, but details matter and without that context I can't tell if this is inspiring, a rich kid story, or a guy busting guts just to make ends meet

Dude! How many restaurants did his family have? In the beginning he made it sound like he was coming from a poor income family that sacrificed their lives to have him and his siblings have a better life. Not true. Be truthful on how you started the business.
@Drew_SocialAcademy8 ай бұрын
People are too concerned with if successful people really started from nothing before they’re willing to listen. It’s foolish and prevents you from gaining valuable knowledge. Everyone has their own “built in” advantages and disadvantages in life. Whether it be circumstance, health, ability, that’s why we’re human. The point is thousands of people make something of themselves against impossible odds, and some make it when they had a seemingly “comfortable” life all along. Success is success, and we should learn from it. His family may have done okay for themselves, but we don’t know the demons this man and his family struggled with. Money or being okay financially does not mean you don’t have problems or that success is guaranteed.
