That story is full of massive rollercoasters which almost brought me to tears. It hits a little too hard with the cancer diagnosis aspect since my Dad passed from lung cancer literally 5 months ago. I'm so happy for him that he had amazing parents. My parents were always kind to me but never believed in business or anything aside from going to school and getting a job. There was always food on the table and they helped me with what I needed for normal life but I never got any support doing what I wanted if it wasn't aligned with their point of view. Well, I got the opposite, they were discouraging me from doing it so I never believed in myself. Only after I went to live alone I could finally do what I wanted. There is still zero support from them in anything out of the ordinary and I am the only one who believes in myself, but at least there is no negative feedback. I just never talk about what I do.

@@thelifewithnate My rule of thumb has always been to do weekly interviews and give myself a run way of one year to get closer to the customer and find product market fit. They will tell you what they want and usually you will be able to make a decision if you have traction. That has been the way I evaluate things. Curious to hear others thoughts here.
