No way, I wasn't impressed at all by him. They spend many hours just to get it started, even thou we all know that this car should be taken into restoration garage and put it apart. Putting fresh oil into 20 year old oils, that propably are turned into custard by this time, is the biggest mistake you can do. Just a complete mess this event.

First thing to do is fit new points, dizzy cap, plug leads and plugs. The Lucas fuel pump will be seized and needs replacing. The fuel will be like varnish after 20 years.. It will have a very low ratio diff and the brakes are a death trap. All the shocks will have stopped working long ago

I will say there is no more elation that getting that old car or any motorized vehicle started after decades of being parked. I remember my dad’s old dune buggy and mini bike were sitting in my grandparents garage and I tinkered with them for hours at like 10-11 years old, and I got them both started not knowing what the hell I was doing but it was like winning the lottery

Some fresh petrol and a half dozen fuel filters will help as well. Check the firing order as well., it is running on 2 I feel. The lady that owns it nearly had a kitten when it started.
