Hey Czardus little tip. Power plants already come equipped with low voltage connections to the roads except for wind so you didn’t need the transformer.

I may be wrong but I think you can place a stone mining area anywhere so you don't need ore, in the same way livestock farming doesn't need fertile land.

Some notes (with "knowledge" from watching other youtubers): →I think the power plant already includes a transformer - i.e. it already has connections to both high-voltage and low-voltage power lines built in. No need to build a separate transformer right besides it. (You could have one at the other side, where the outside power connection comes in.) → There are separate demands for low density and medium-density housing (and near the end, high-density). Zoning more medium-density housing won't reduce the demand for low-density housing. (I guess if you want more people to (want to) live in medium-density compared to low-density, you can adjust the taxes for that?)

Indeed about the power transformer. As for demand, you're right that there is separate demand for each zoning type, but they are still interconnected. That's why unemployment remains a key figure. For example, zoning medium density residential leads to more people, which means higher unemployment rate, which in turn decreases the demand for low density residential.

Schools and healthcare will come when the city really needs them. No need to spend money on them right now. Citizens will travel off-map to obtain healthcare and college/university education if it is not available within the city (though they may end up moving away because of that).

So, once you get a couple of episodes in to this, I'm curious to know what mod from CS1 are you most hoping makes a fast appearance in CS2? For me personally, I'm teetering between wanting Move it! or at least the sloping tool from Network Multitool to make a fast arrival. I've gotten too accustomed to nudging things into better positions and fixing slope issues after the fact.

@@jsb06g probably related to the terrain or the road layout. Zoning is up to six squares deep but the grids I’ve chosen aren’t that size, plus any tiny hills can disrupt perfectly aligned zoning squares. I really don’t mind it at all.

@@Czardus Only 1 month to the release date. I'm not sure it will be a lot better. This looks like more a Cities Skylines 1.2. They should have done a patch... Just like Cyberpunk. This is not a new game.
