I started this challenge myself a little over a week ago. I never really played with Outdoor Retreat before, so this was my first real experience with the pack. (Only used the tents here and there.) I learned that the herbs to identify can only be found in the vacation world that came with Outdoor Retreat. It is also a part of the aspiration that came with the pack. By picking up these herbs you can get a bit of the herbalism skill. The herbalism skill can get higher faster by making "medicine" (not sure what it is really called) on the grills after you aquired a certain skill level. The insects can also only be found in the vacation world. It took me a verly long time to complete the collection, as you need to look for them day and night in different locations. Hope this helps you complete this generation. 😊 Please note: I am not used to English as it is not my first language, spelling mistakes are commonly made, you can happily correct me if you find one. The worst part is that you have to keep going on vacations and spending money 😭

@@anamoralxs That is true. But there is a camp lot thats only 59 (?) simoleons per day. And if you sell what you collect you can make profit. 😀

to make myself use OR more I downloaded a summer camp. every summer in game I move kids into the counselor's household and add some money. then play that mixed household and go on vacation

I'm starting this challenge as well I'm so excited! I watched some of Rosanna's videos and she did the Freelance writing career so you can work on all the goals easier and take writing jobs at home in-between instead of having to go to work with the writing career. Cant wait for more videos!

I am playing this challenge aswell, and it is so much fun! I am also combining it with a rags to riches style challenge for a little bit of an extra challenge. for building I also decided to use all the packs and stick with mostly base game + and the pack for gameplay (I do play with laundry and bust the dust etc.)

It is fun seeing you discover new things in the game so I am not going to tell you much. I will say the bugs and herbs you need for herbalism can only be found in Granite Falls. Also most are seasonal.

yayy i was waiting for a new gameplay. also...i cant express how much im thankful for simmers like you that always take us through new challenges so we can learn new stuff and make our own gameplay less boring. specially when packs come out....i turned into a simmer a while back by the help of all the youtubers that play the sims. cause you guys make it so much easier so thank you so much. your effort is definitely recognized and it help us to learn and to have more fun. so thank you!

You can earn herbalism trough the grill I think. U can make one recepie that is connected to herbalism.

She wasn't ready for 2nd herbalism book. I think you have to be at level 4 or higher to start reading the second book.

I enjoyed this video so much I subscribed to make sure I catch the next episode. Somehow your backdoor got set to the front door (the option is greyed out when it's active) and it needs to be flipped around because the part that is facing inside is supposed to face outside.

No bug house is no help for insects, your sim will have to go granite falls to complete the bug and herbalism collection which is going to be annoying.

I might be too late but you can find the inidentified herbs in granite falls. And the insects too. Not un other worlds I think.

i did! I used custom content though, so make sure to select the ‘show custom content’ filter. you should be able to find them on my gallery! my username is simmarysims.
