Starting BMW E36 318i Cabrio After 4 Years + Test Drive

Absolute beast of a car... sold my straight six 320i last year, drove it pedal to the metal for 20 years, never had a problem (except a few small things here and there). I don't think there will ever be such an indestructible engine. I even accidentally drove it without oil this one time, started making noise, topped it with oil, everything was back to normal. I can't stress enough how great the straight six BMW engine is.

I own a BMW E39 M54 engine. Those old inline sixes are really good. That's where BMW's strength lies. They make great six-cylinder engines.

What a beautiful old car this one is.I miss my 6cilyder gas an E34 with low mods from 1989.That car if could talk,i almoust got stranded 1 time cause the batery was very dead,still i started and went straight to change to a nice one TUDOR batery. My friends called my car the "Mafia Car" all black,tinted windows and a nice Rims,that Vanos system was amazing,so heavy car and still was fast and very safe with just 4 brake discs.I regret so much of selling but it was in a bad time of my life. I hope someone give love to this one and use it on a Sunday,give a little bath and show to this young people,what an amazing cars BMW made on this time. I have e36 from 1993. In that 31years old car the steel is very rusty now, but the engine in indestructible. The last one with cast iron block. The next generation - e46 - introduced aluminium block. It was the beginning of cheap / savings era, which we all have until these days.

A few years back I got my hands on a free E30 - 91 318is It had sat for almost 4 years in a neighbor's field. All I had to do to get it started was a fresh battery. Oh I did also have to remove the aftermarket security system that was added in first, but I won't hold that against it. Still driving today. The M42 got some TLC and is running great.

I have a model of this abandoned where I live, the owner of the car simply parked it and never came back. This is here in Brazil, it could be a very old model, it says BMW on the plate. The car is intact, the tires are all flat, it appears to be a completely original car.

Der Motor ist nicht Schwach. 1,6 Liter mit 105 PS und Werksangabe. Mit 205 Km/h ich habe auch einen nur als Limousine Baujahr 1995 wird jetzt in 2025, 30 Jahre alt und das beste er ist sehr Sparsam auf 100 Km, 6,7 Liter. Und er hat eine Steuerkätte kein Zahnrimmen.

Il ya encore un peu de travail à faire pour la passer au contrôle technique distribution pompe a eau vidange filtres bougies filtre a essence filtre habitacle etc et. Et les freins avant arrière la corrosion sous les bas de caisse peut être les amortisseurs ? Il lui faudrait un beau pare choc avant peint de la couleur carrosserie avec les antibrouillards (sa c'est du luxe lol). Mais sa reste une bonne auto qui peut aller loin encore a condition de la bichonner et de savoir la bricoler comme toi flexiny 👍👍💲💲👌👌

Well, it's your car and you do whatever you want to open it... it's a sin to leave it abandoned, you won't find something like that often. It looks great and the fact that the electric top works adds value to that car. Is the motorcycle at minute 5.40 a Dnieper or a Ural? Keys were lost, and the funniest part is that even without glass, you were not able to open doors. Had to remove upholstery and give power to door lock mechanism to unlock double lock
