If the cuttings turn a lighter green and almost pale yellow while trying to root, does it usually mean too much water? They are nice and strong otherwise. Thanks!

Hi Jolene, thank for your question. Certainly sudden paling is a sign of distress and a cause should be sought - temperature, lack of light, disease, for example. Before rooting occurs I don't think overwatering would be a problem - its common to root cuttings directly in water. Once roots have formed, waterlogged soil can cause root failure, which could result in yellowing. Hope this helps, and good luck with your growing.
