ive been driving since 4th grade, i just completed 12th grade now lol . I started on a yamaha FZ and later on a duke 125 , now i drive a royal enfield classic 350 and a bmw g310r

For me I started on a bandit 650AS (with ABS) from 2005(!) a great bike. 30K kilometers. And still looking good. Because as a new rider (little)accidents can happen, that is why I did buy that bike and not a brand new bike.

I learned on and am still riding an MT-03, basically the naked version of the R3. Yes I have outgrown it and it is underpowered on the highway but it is still a ton of fun in the city. The ZX-4RR has way too much oomph for a 'true' beginner imo.....way too much HP and too easy to lose control of at high speed....for someone with a couple years's experience it is a great buy

Next step... Track time! See if there are some go-kart tracks nearby you (2-3 hour distance is the usual because they are in middle of nowhere). I would thrash that thing around all day.

Started on a 1300 Honda VTX. Ridiculously heavy cruiser bike with a stupid power band on the low end on 1st & 2nd gear, it’ll have the tire sliding. I’ve always had a bit of a loose screw though & I heavily discourage it. I don’t know how people could handle the 1800 version in all honesty.

Started on a Kawasaki ninja 250 and a few months later bought a 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille as my second bike (just a big 600 with 130hp & 76 ft-lbs of torque)

I think Ninja 650 is better than ZX4r. Much more low end torque for around town riding, similar top speed, 650 is a lot less $. And if you want an inline 4 sport bike the ZX6r is a better option than ZX4r.

Considering that people start on much bigger... 65HP is doable... but also depends on common sense factor which is very rare these days lol

ZX4RR is only ~1500$ more than a 650 now that it's been out a while and a hell of a lot of fun. I don't regret not getting a ZX6R. I barely go above 6k rpm on the 4RR (mainly because it just _screams_ ) and it's plenty on the road. It's like a ninja 400 riding normal, but turns into a 750 twin when you rev it
