Starting Our 2024 France Trip! EasyJet Flight To Geneva - Travel Vlog

Join us as we start our 2024 France Trip in this travel vlog! We make our way from Manchester Airport in the UK to Geneva Airport in Switzerland on board EasyJet. We then pick up the hire car and make our way through France, taking in some of the stunning scenery. We then end our travel day with a tour of the hotel we'll be staying in throughout this trip, along with talking about the itinary!

After many trips to Disneyland and riding the Matterhorn, we as a family had a bucket list trip to the real Matterhorn this year. Luckily, we had a crystal clear day. Zermatt was brilliant. Even the McDonald's in Zermatt was posh, but cost £70 for 4. There is a CO OP just across the road from the train station in Zermatt for a nice cheap cheese sandwich! We also got used a Swiss Half Fare card that gives 1/2 price off trains in Switzerland. Have a brilliant time.

Just a heads up. The water you use in Florida is a bit different, not the bottled water but every other bit of water out of taps and such, it’s full of dissolved limestone which isn’t that dangerous just it’s there. Hotels have on site filters to get rid of it. Most houses buy separate water filter attachments for the plumbing to keep it out. Limestone by itself is harmless and is used for roads, deodorizing solid materials, and basically where calcium carbonate is required. Just it builds up as limescale and we have to get rid of it. Just carry a filter bottle at parks and such as you definitely need one. They aren’t that expensive either. Disney was criticized for their water quality at the fountains before.

We’ve just got back from a European road trip, taking in Zermatt & the Matterhorn. This was our third visit as my husband was working out in Zurich last year. It’s one of our favourite places. I’m sure that you are aware that you cannot drive to Zermatt as it is a car free village. You leave the car at Täsch terminal & get the train in to Zermatt. There is also an overland car train as part of the trip…. All good fun 🤩 Can’t wait to watch all the exciting vlogs!

I feel you with remoteness. Walibi Rhone-Alpes actually does provide a shuttle to Lyon like Busch Gardens has a shuttle from I-Drive, let's just say I didn't do enough research in time. Then again it was open open randomly on the Wednesday of Holy Week (April 13, 2022), then the holiday weekend into daily ops for the rest of the month. I have not been able to figure out why that's the case, it doesn't seem to be a national or regional holiday

However, they sometimes have good bargains.And if you like them and their prices are okay for you then it´s totally fine to go there. :)

Off topic recommendation, but next time you go to Plopsaland you could definitely do a sightseeing evening in De Panne for your second channel. I went this summer with my family to do RTH and the local area was very pretty and full of cute roads and houses. Theres also a wooden walkway down the beach that leads about 2 miles to the french border

As far as I’m aware Switzerland doesn’t have any major theme parks like the rest of Europe but they do have one called Conny-Land that has a couple of coasters !! The rest of Switzerland mainly has lots of Alpine Coasters and small amusement parks

You do not pay "a fee" to drive from Switzerland to France. Switzerland is part of the Schengen agreement, so once you are in that zone, there are no more ID checks. The French ask a fee to drive on their motorways so that might be what you mean???
