​​@@lsr0netheone9 Last time it ran was during the GRIDLIFE 2022 season at Lime Rock Park where it blew its turbo during its second session (it won Street Class in just one session lol). After that, it has been on jackstands for about a year as Ben wanted to focus on his other cars and give the Evo a break. When the flood hit the garage, his Evo was spared since it was on jackstands.

For anyone that hasn't used Silka or Silkaflex let me tell you it is the best sealant made by man. Fifteen years ago I used four tubes to seal a seam in my concrete driveway and it is still good as new today.

I think a good solution to the windshield foggging issue is to run a similar setup to rear windshield defrosters. There are companies that make front windshields with heating coils embedded in them

Something that's come up in the rally community this year, a few people have had the turn key kill switch lose contact even though it's in the correct position. People have started to switch to solid state electrical kill switches. Not sure you'll get as much vibration as we do, but I'd hate for you to DNF on a small part again

Advance pulled all of their sponsorships in all Motorsport. They have been having some finance issues in general and this is just a cost cutting measure

The two Bens announced this earlier this year as part of the Eclipse vs RX-8 road trip series. Advance Auto usually sponsors those as well but they had a lot less to work with this time around

Advance bought most of not all of the pepboys store locations. They've really expanded a lot here on the west coast and I think they're having trouble with competitors like Autozone and oreilly having a strong base here.

1.5s is a massively impressive improvement over 1 lap, but it’s hopeful to assume the competition won’t have made similar upgrades this year. The upcoming season will definitely be interesting.

Rain-x or similar on the windshield, inside and out. won't fog up. swap the interior non vital bolts for Alu', not too expensive and saves another few pounds. can do similar for body panel fixings. for the cost of carbon roof you could have better weight savings with something like titanium hub nut, wheel studs and lugs. probably even lighter hubs too. unsprung weight saving too

You can use dish soap inside of the windshield as an antifogging, a thin layer applied by a micro fiber towel.

Yeah... Spray the window whit anti fogging up spray 👍 works pretty good AND BEN if you are having problems getting tires up to temp before a session... Put the tires and RIMS in a black Big garage bag. Close it up and place it in the sun !! A friend of mine does that to his Wheels and tires to get them up some of the way in themp!! He does hillclims and they didn't have any time getting heat in the TYRES 👍🎉

Do the rules allow undertrays and diffusers? With proper ones you'd reduce drag, increase downforce, might even reduce the size of the massive rear wing which adds a lot of drag.

Two points of advice, get rid of the ignition steering lock. Its a race car, you dont need it. Go to a toggle on or push button set up. Second, professional drivers actually use soapy water in a spray bottle and spray the inside of the windshield. That would be a cheaper alternative

Great video, you said that gridlife rules require no front glass? Have you considered cutting vents into the rear window or even the boot lid to relieve the air that can be caught in the interior of the car? Similar theory to when people cut the rear bumper..

If you put both front windows in you go faster again. The drag that you are creating by not having windows in place is huge. Rather than a fan for the front window, add in a cold air duct from the front and let that blow air directly up onto the front windshield.

Maybe things have changed (since it's been a minute since I worked in auto glass), but I remember using stuff like windex to keep the urethane wet and something to keep the blades/wires from building up too much heat from friction did wonders to make things less of a pain in the ass. D:
