I keep hearing people say that the Captain America shield and mantle should have gone to Bucky. Guess it's needed to remind people that Bucky was a world known terrorist for half a century as the Winter Soldier. I'm sure the government wouldn't at all have accepted the former Hydra terrorist as the country's symbol "Captain America." 😅

Sam Wilson holds similar values as Steve and was an Avenger since Ultron. Bucky worked for a terrorist organization, assassined world leaders, under parole for being a war criminal and is under mental care. I like Bucky too but being Steve friend shouldn't make him Captain America.

Remember what's required for the Captain America mantle. The symbol of hope and what is right. From the very first Captain America movie - "a good man." Steve knew Sam is a good man. His ideals, history, values, and morals align with the good man that Cap should be. He didn't give the shield to Bucky because he can't be considered good man due to his 90 year history of being a terrorist assassin for Hydra. Doesn't matter if they were best friends. Also, in the comics, Sam was essentially Steve's best friend and partner so he knew him very well and knew what kind of man he was to deserve the shield.

Bucky would have been the absolute WORST person to give it to, other than an actual villain. Everyone knows Bucky as a traitor to the United States, an assassin, the man who murdered American hero, Howard Stark, and his wife, Tony Stark's mother. Captain America is supposed to be the symbol of everything that is good about America. Making Bucky into the new Captain America would have been a P.R. nightmare. Remember that, more than anything, Captain America is supposed to be a symbol. I simply can't understand how anyone could possibly think that Bucky should have been the new Captain America. It's totally irrational and unthinkable. You may not like it, but the guy the government appointed to be the new Captain America actually (at least superficially) fit the profile. He was a TRUE American War Hero.

Actually while the world knows that Bucky was a HYDRA assassin for decades, almost no one outside of the Avengers knows that he killed the Starks. That was a secret mission not included in the files Black Widow dumped onto the Internet. The revelation that Bucky was responsible was a shock to everyone when they saw the video footage in Civil War.

Not many bad people know it or are likely to learn of it, but all of them qualify as top level 'oh shit' people to have that in their back pocket. Hell, at that point it's not necessarily even about going directly after Bucky. Could you imagine how many other Americans would be susceptible to manipulation or blackmail if said villain let them know they had that information and would release it if THEY didn't do what the villain said?

In the comics captain America fought an enemy and agent of hydra called iron nail who had the ability to drain the super soldier syrum from captain America, Steve knew this but in a larger battle wasn’t focused on winning just stopping iron nail and another enemy called gunner. Iron nail ended up taking the super syrum from him and when he flipped him over Steve was an old man, iron nail wanted to finish the job but before he could falcon stoped him nearly beating him to death, flying of with Steve in his arms and leaving a boy to explode killing iron nail. Later down the line zola and the Avengers go to war with a bomb threatening to end the world, Steve still old try’s to take the bomb away but before he can falcon takes it flying towards space as fast as he can, Steve tries to stop him but falcon tells him he can rest now the bomb goes of and nearly kills Sam but his vibranium wings save him. After Steve steps down as captain America he calls all the Avengers together and says “ to make it all official i have called you here to introduce my new replacement, a man whom i love with all my heart and on the next page we see Falcon.

Savannah, Georgia was used as a stand-in for Delacroix, Louisiana. However, this is still right up Anthony Mackie's wheelhouse. He grew in New Orleans, and if you were to go fishing in the South you'd be lucky to have him as your guide. In an interview with Sean Evans on Hot Ones while promoting this show, Anthony revealed that he would go fishing in between takes of Infinity War and Endgame. He would have a grill next to his trailer to cook his fish on the spot. Some people had a problem with that, but their anger would quell upon tasting the fish.

Not trying to spoil anything, or ruin your fun, but we've largely come out of the era of large-scale team-up movies (and shows). We did get kind of spoiled with Infinity War, Endgame, and... heck, even Captain America: Civil War, but it wouldn't really be realistic to keep the adrenaline at that level. I think where a lot of people have gotten dissatisfied with Phase 4 is that it is a wind-down from what we just went through. Still, this one does have a very different vibe and overall energy from Wandavision. Still, there's a lot of good stuff to be had in it, so don't count it out!

Bucky is doing good to be Bucky at this point. It isn’t just the fact that the public and government wouldn’t accept Bucky as Cap, he is still recovering mentally and trying to navigate daily life. We saw Steve have a similar struggle in CA:The Winter Soldier in phase 2, except Bucky has a a very different type of trauma to heal from than Steve did. Steve knew what he was doing in “Endgame” Sam is the best choice to hold true to and carry on what it means to be Captain America as envisioned by the ones who dared to question those in power and do what was right vs. just following orders. Captain America should always be a good man first, and a soldier second, and that is exactly who Sam is.

Bucky wasn't a terrorist, the Winter Soldier was. During those years a different persona programmed by HyDRA was in control of his body. The problem is that many government officials around the world (as well as the general public) wouldn't make that distinction. Legally he'd still be responsible for actions taken by the Winter Soldier, even though his mind wasn't in control.

There comes a time in every reactor's MCU journey when you start seeing folks telling you that you need to watch the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, the two Amazing Spider-Man movies, Daredevil the series and the X-Men movie series, including Deadpool. They're all right. To fully experience phase 4 and beyond, I think seeing those would help you along. Like how Evan Peters appeared in WandaVision, there are more connections coming, without spoiling anything. Especially before the next Spider-Man movie. It's a major detour, so understandable if you didn't wanna take it.

This is one of the ones that I've been looking forward to you two getting to. 😊 This show was greatly effected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They were just a few days into filming when the cast and crew got the calls to get to the airport to return home. One thing that was greatly effected by the pandemic was the storyline with the Flagsmashers. It was great seeing Don Cheadle back as Rhodey Rhodes in this episode. Fun Fact: Don Cheadle was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 2021 for his 5 minute cameo. I do like this episode. It shows what Sam and Bucky have been up to since the events of "Avengers Endgame". The show really picks up by the third episode. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

In the comic book finances were different they were being paid. But in the MCU none of them were being paid and Tony was only providing things they need and that's only when they we're on his side. Tony provided living quarters vehicles food and advanced tech. Tony didn't pay anyone anything not even Peter Parker. Tony just said he would get him into MIT not that he would give him a dime. Also everyone who supported Steve during the civil war crisis where fugitive from the government 2 years before the blip happened.

They are introducing new characters that we haven’t seen before in the MCU and also establishing where everybody’s been since endgame. The show gets a lot better. I’m not gonna say anything more as not to spoil it. But I presume y’all are not comic book fans which this is based off of again, just WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, She hulk, ms marvel, and this show. They don’t follow the exact comic book theme, but the storylines go along with the theme. Also the what if series also is based on comic books that goes along with the MCU. You’ll have to remember everything you watched up to now when you watch what if. Secret invasion is also a Disney+ show that is worth watching, but it’s not great. Disney has just approved Hawkeye season two and Loki season two just ended. Also, there will be a continuation to WandaVision called vision quest which shows what happened to vision after WandaVision. The MCU is slowing down on making movies and shows to make more quality shows and to make sure the special effects are up to par. I enjoy all reaction always and do appreciate your honesty. But always remember every show can’t be like endgame.

They're not just gonna never explain anything again. They didn't do spiderman's origin because it had been done MORE than once already and he is easily one of most well known characters in comic history. They didn't need to do "got bit by a radioactive spider" for the 3rd time. It won't be necessary to know every character from every non MCU movie/show to understand what's going on. Basically none of these will have anything to do with the PLOT. Just like none of the X-Men movies had anything to do with the plot of MOM. It isn't worth watching and editing an extra 100 videos so that a few times they can go "oh that's the actor from that movie."

Bucky can't take the shield or become Captain America because of the things that he did as The Winter Soldier plus now he has a pardon from the goverment for helping stop Thanos but apart of that pardon is he has to go court mandated theraphy even though his therapist is kinda shitty when dealing with Bucky and his situation as all Bucky wants to do make amends for the wrong he's done because he feels guilty as he wouldn't have done those things if he wasn't mind controlled, tortured and abused like he was by Hydra plus like he said, all he wants is peace to live his life. Sam gave away the shield to the smithsonian because he like he said about the shield, it was someone else's that being Steve and most likely feels like he isn't worthy to live up to the legacy that Steve left behind as Captain America even though Steve and Sam share thare the same morals and value so Steve obviously thought about that as he was handing the shield and mantle of Captain America after up his mind and also knowing that Sam was worthy in his eyes for it all.

@@hailee2279 Yes, that's why I put it as an extra. But daredevil should be seen. Its good. And after all, Born Again will be the closest thing to a S4. As for the defenders, they can see it and not. There are references in S3 of Daredevil, but more on Elektra's part. If they want to see it, perfect. If not, same. Season 3 can be enjoyed just the same.
