Starting to Say Goodbye to my Period 🩸

And just like I predicted, my period began the day after this recording…10 days earlier than it was meant to!
I’ve talked about periods consistently over the last decade, especially about Period or Menstrual Justice and along with that, the need for us to continue to normalize the conversation, in order to push back against period stigma.
So here’s an unexpected ‘goodbye periods’ rant that I made as I was shooting content around a Menstrual bracelet, which I’ll share soon.
Relationship Status of my period and I? It’s complicated 🤷🏾‍♀️ Why? Heavy flow, painful, heavy sadness/ emotions. My PMS tends to be pretty bad; I wish all this wasn’t the case, and I am exploring medical options to manage my endometriosis.
This is my reality, my experience - yet, despite the fact that I have a #menstrualdisorder, it’s a reminder that my body is still all in all, functioning normally!
Let’s also remember that everyone’s period experience is different, so this is certainly not the case for everybody! If you have a heavy flow, prolonged periods and a lot of pain, please seek medical advice 🙏🏾

I totally relate. Time moves by very fast. My introduction to menses was a rough one, but we are now good friends.
