Eyup lads. Temperature will have an effect on yeast; it'll ferment faster but you'll get off flavours and possibly fusel alcohols... you can get hellish headaches from those. I don't know how many fermenters you have on the go at any one time, but a cheap Facebook marketplace fridge and an Inkbird ITC-308 controller (those nice lads at BrewBros stock them) for approx £30 will give you temperature control for one bucket. Definitely an investment for the summer months, and if you wanted to brew a lager at lower temperatures, then you have the ability to do so. Just don't put the inkbird's probe into the beer directly, tape it to the outside of the bucket and tape a small sponge over the top of it... that way it reads bucket temp and not the ambient within the fridge. All the best, and Huzzah!

Great review again boys think we all are having problems with the temperature. Do mine in my garage come bar and this year it’s been heat pads on & of. Still good excuse to go in have a beer our two 😂

Thank you D&P. Very entertaining and informative, as usual. Today, I am drinking Dark Rock Citra brewed with additional Nectaron Hops. 🍻

You two always make me smile and considering the days I sometimes have, that is a great thing. That bass beer sounds like a winner to me. I made a Proper Job recently and forgot to sparge, so ended up making a 9 percent version of Proper by accident, which my friends loved but was too alcohol forward in flavour for me.

the weather for a brew is a total nightmare in the summer, I can simpathize with dave as I have no cooling place either, but good reviews guys and loving the humour, good one again, hazzzar

Another great video chaps. Your channel has been hugely influential on my success as a home brewer and I've lost count of the number of 10/10 beers I've made under your reccomendations that have turned out really well for me. Thank you for your service :) As I think you rightly diagnosed the recent wild temperature fluctuations are the likely cause of the failed batches recently. Stressed yeast is the biggest cause of failed brews with an experienced brewer who knows how to clean and sanitise properly. I had similar problems last year so bit the bullet and invested in a 30 litre Grainfather stainless conical fermentor with glycol chiller. I can now brew any beer at any time of the year without having to worry about temperature changes. Its a lot of money but my word had it made a difference to the quality of my beers. Really easy to program too. Well worth the investment if you are brewing kits at £40-55 a pop...
