The Borg Queen is still a very powerful being. Any being who was able to destroy two large battleship starships with only 8 percent of brain capacity operating., then sent a starship to time travel in an infinite warp speed is very powerful in my playbook.
@Jon-ef4hh2 жыл бұрын
Uh... Novas, two of the three ships pursuing them during that chase, are primarily science vessels/scout ships. The larger of the three, the Steamrunner is frankly the most terrifying of the three despite being 'merely' a destroyer hull/light cruiser with some very tough armor and only one of the three that is actually a combat vessel.

@Jon-ef4hh2 жыл бұрын
@@LMG1792 They were 'primarily' scout vessels. That does not mean they weren't used in other roles, they were just ill-suited for most others. The Nova should be able to fill the role of a pursuit vessel fairly well, just don't expect it to stop whatever it chases without significant damage to itself. It's size also hampers its abilities somewhat but vessels of equal or lower tonnage should be either matched or outmatched by a Nova in even the normal timeline.

I think she was only at 8 % percent after the damage she took in the crash, meaning she was in much better shape during the battle and the time-warp

3:22 - 3:47 Picard should've known the procedure described by Jurati here. It's the same one he did with Sarek when the latter had to complete a diplomatic mission while suffering from the Bendii Syndrome. @wj31862 жыл бұрын
I'm not too sure about that myself. On Voyager, there was a group of Borg who got separated from the Collective and I seem to remember them being anxious to get back at first but gradually starting to recover memories of themselves as time went on. Former Borg recall the horrific memories of not only their own assimilation but countless others. There are adjustments made within the Collective to limit their access to those traumas so...there could be a euphoric sensation induced to achieve that. At least mind numbing of some kind. But...it could also be that Locutus was a special case. Or...maybe the writers are just bad at this. Does it matter now?
@pirobot668beta2 жыл бұрын
The Borg would tailor every experience of being in the Collective to be pleasant. A mind has a strong need for reward, validation. Pleasure answers that need. Stimulating reward centers in the brain is crude, but it works. The Borg are a drug, assimilation is addiction.
@shanenolan82522 жыл бұрын
@@pirobot668beta it sounds reasonable except we have seen it twice before, at least . There were last and terrified out of there bobies in an endless maze it was consamt noise of the collective. And i recall Picard haveing a tear as he was assassinated, but he remembered everything. It seemed like they bypass the personally and use the brain, its sounded like slavery in a perpetual nightmare. Either way would make sense but not both .

Rewatched First Contact and frankly, none of the assimilation process looks anywhere near euphoric..

Her brain should have been pudding by the end of this. Way to make the Borg Queen completely pathetic, at least until the plot needs her to again be the Borg Queen. What I really do not understand about this season is why? This is an alternate universe why are they trying to change anything?
@SystemofEleven2 жыл бұрын
It's not an alternate universe. It's their own universe, in which Q rewrote their history to make it match the mirror universe's history. They can't just rip open a hole into the reflected universe, fly through, and call it good, because the reflections are now the exact same.
