Hi, I’d love to see a video on your process for buying used equipment. Where you look, how you assess the condition and workings of the machinery and how much (compared to new) you expect to pay for the equipment. I enjoy the refurbishment videos you are doing by the way.

It is always a pleasure to watch your tool restorations Matt and your meticulous attention to detail. My vintage NuTool pillar drill is that green colour, so I was a bit doubtful when you chose the blue, but in fact it looks really good, so full marks for a job well done!

Just a hint - contrary to popular opinion, WD40 is a very poor penetrating oil. It was actually designed to be a water dispersant. Next time, treat yourself to some PlusGas which is a very effective dismantling fluid. It works like magic! And, please don't be tempted to lubricate woodworking machinery with WD40. It leaves a sticky residue which will attract fine sawdust and make matters worse.
@uktony15253 жыл бұрын
Clive, agree on the Plusgas or alternatively try 50/50 acetone and automatic transmission fluid.
