You're a good son Matt. I lost my mum a few days ago. I always loved fixing things for her. Her appreciation of little things, satisfaction in something working & continuing to work rather than be thrown away was more than reward enough. I can see this in the projects you do. "Parents, they keep you busy." Indeed! My father has dementia, and so I find myself going to visit him and my mother more and more to help with this and that, including repairs, etc. It's worth it when I consider how much they did for me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!

Matt. My Dad taught me many of my skills and he took care of everything around the house. When he passed away, I took over. After I left home, I’d visit my Mum and make sure I had my tools with me. I made a few things her but there was Nothing better than walking in and seeing a list of jobs for me to take care of. I miss them both but seeing this video brings a joyful tear to my eye. I’m pleased for you mate, carry on the good work. 👍🏾

Hi Matt, what a lovely video! It’s great to see that over time, doing projects around the house, you give the house a bit of extra soul and character! If I where to run into you in a pub or a trade show, i would ask you this: Putting algorithms and monetization aside for a minute; have you ever considered making long form video’s ie a documentary of something you find interesting, or shooting an online class or workshop? If so, what would they be about, and why did you not (yet) pursue it? To me you are such an kind and gentle storyteller, and I am really curious what would happen with a larger time frame.
