Kino being left behind destroyed me, at school just after watching the episode, I could only think about if he was alive, but I think that his death would make most sense, putting Cassian on the road to his ending on scarif

That a characters fate, who've we've only got to know in three episodes, has left such an impact and in many cases a very distinct and very real feeling of hurt speaks volumes at the acting and writing talent of this show.

It was definitely everything in the last episode before they escaped that solidified his character and made a lot more people love him. Just watching him finally break, and show some heart in what may have been his last moments.

Andy Serkis is an absolute legend and he was working with great writing as well, this is the same dude who played golem in the original lord of the rings trilogy so you know he's gonna be fire.

None of the other Star Wars shows hold this level of detail. This show is comparable to that of Mr. Robot, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and The Sopranos in how it handles depth within the cinematography and screenplay. Tony Gilroy put so much heart into this show, and it's undeniably his magnum opus. I hope we see much more Star Wars work from him in the future; genius.

I think Cassian’s difficulty sleeping also represents the level of discomfort Cassian has in this situation and the fact that the stakes are much higher. Not only is it the lives of those who have chosen to be part of the prison break conspiracy that are at stake, but also the lives of the entire prison, and perhaps even all of the lives in the other floating prisons.
@aaronmueller1560
@aaronmueller1560 Жыл бұрын
That makes a lot of sense. In the heist, all he ultimately cared about was his own skin, and so he sleeps alright knowing that he can take care of himself. When it came to actually doing the heist and the members were in danger, he did make efforts and put himself in danger to help them, but it’s not something he was thinking about before. But now, he is very concerned with all of the prisoners, and makes sure that after they take the control room and have a chance to just leave, they make sure to open up all the rooms to let everyone out. It’s part of their plan, a plan made by Andor. Very neat.

In a way…. Cassian could die in aldhani just as well and he knew it. He was able to sleep because it was “just a job” and he wasnt worried about the empire or the rebellion or what he was fighting for. The fact its Namik specifically that cant sleep, and then Cassian himself later, is very telling and deliberate. Like you said, Cassian was starting to truly care not just for his own freedom, but for his peers’ as well

It continues to impress me how there is zero dead air with Andor, everything has some kind of narrative purpose, even if it's a tiny little hint of growth like this

The Empire thrives when the Rebellion is asleep, one of the messages the show sends and why Nemik couldn't sleep before Aldani and Cassian could. In Narkina 5, Cassian becomes a full Rebel and henceforth couldn't sleep

Nope. I disagree with your read. The reason Cass can sleep before the heist is because he has been on heists, understands the risks, and believes that the risk is high, but it's possible to survive the next day. The night before the Narkina 5 breakout, the risk and uncertainty is wildly higher than Aldhani.
