The Last Jedi and Star Wars Resistance was inspired by Battlestar Galactica. The Last Jedi was just them on a ship with the last of the Resistance trying to find another planet to relocate the rebel base. While at the same time running out of fuel. People keep saying that Rian did something new he didn't. He just combined BSG, ESB and ROTJ into a movie and as far as I'm concerned its not even a good rip off of these things. If your going to rip off something make a good tribute out of it. Star Wars Resistance is an example of a tribute to BSG while TLJ is a bad example of this. But that's just my thoughts on it.

@@KD-kb4wv I see Star Wars Resistance more of a tribute to Robotech anime rather Than Battlestar Galactictia because Since this anime inspired series have a lot of similarities to the Robotech anime. Focus on Pilots, Immuel Doza looks a lot like Henry Gloval. The First Order chase The Colossus as the ship holds great importance to them And the Zentraedi chase the SDF-1 as it have great source of Protoculture. SDF-1 use to belong to the Zentraedi and The Colossus use to belong to the Empire and both Ships use by heroes to escape the enemy through hyperspace. I looked up online that Dave Filoni is also a fan of Robotech.

Thanks for the Battlestar Galactica references. Star Wars Resistance was not the strongest of the Canon animated shows but I still enjoyed it. But hopefully Lucasfilm learns from their mistakes.

The Fireball, Yeager’s ship and Torra’s ship makes it’s debut in live-action, which that’s awesome. I hope that Hype Fazon, Fenris Freya, Griff, Bo Keevil, Hugh Sion, Norath, the unknown Jade Squadron member and Venisa Doza join in the massive fleet (now called the Allied Fleet) at the Battle of Exegol. Edit: And of course TROS is the movie that is similar to Avengers Endgame. Every ship from the prequel trilogy, original trilogy, sequel trilogy, The Clone Wars, Solo, Rebels, Rogue One, and Star Wars Resistance joined in the fight with the Resistance against the Final Order.

I think I actually saw the Colossus in the background in TROS. It could be a similar shaped ship, but it's a nice head canon. Also in the TROS graphic novel, at least three of the five aces are seen in the Battle of Exegol.

4:30 Just came to watch this to refresh my memory after the Ahsoka trailer and as also an F1 fan, that fact left me so unexpectedly bamboozled I had to go back and take a look at the 2023 F1 calendar to check which circuit it was. Oh good. I hope it comes to D+ Season 1 was such a pleasant surprise after all the negativity I initially heard about it. Though, isn't that just the way the animated shows seem to go? Everyone I knew wrote off _Clone Wars_ as a shitty kid's show [even though we were kids] when it debuted, & I thought the art style was a poor imitation of a 3D attempt at Tartokovsky. Few years down the line, Disney buys Lucasfilm & suddenly all I see online is how great _Clone Wars_ was for anyone that watched it. Then they announce _Rebels_. All over the internet people were decrying the existence of _Rebels_. It was already inferior to _Clone Wars_. It was too much of a kiddy show. It's artstyle was weird & bad. [Though, Yoda & the Wookies genuinely _are_ bad, IMO]. After 4 Seasons it's heralded as a worthy successor & all who watched are proselytizing it's merit. Then _Resistance_ is unveiled. Everyone initially bristles at this cartoon for being marketed at kids. People complain about the cel-shaded "Anime" look°. I don't know if enough time has passed, but I do know I enjoyed that first season. It's goofy & is definitely the show most aimed at a younger audience out of the 3, but I like it. Though I wonder what's next. Also...why only one cartoon at a time? There's no reason we can't have a few shows each filling a niche. °While I came around to _Clone Wars_ and _Rebels_ artsyles, _Resistance_ is closer to what I always wanted from a _Star Wars_ CGI Animated show. Like all of them, it can be a little rough- & there are definitely some stiff moments in that first season- but I really hope to see it refined over time. The _Clone Wars_ film is trash when compared to the later seasons of the show, & some of lightsaber fights in _Rebels_ are breathtaking. I hope to see the style used in this show evolve into something like Arc System Works uses for their video games, or like Pixar did for their _Paperman_ short film, a style that blends the best of 2D & 3D into a look that's even greater than the sum of its parts.

I still don't think rebels is a worthy successor but I actually really enjoyed Resistance and I thought that was the art style was interesting and mixed things up in a good way. I wish more people would give it a chance /: If they were to make a third season then I think including the backstory to the one storm trooper who defected in ROS would be cool were her whole company puts down their weapons.

I haven’t read any comments, so forgive me if I’m just repeating. The whole shield lowering was definitely a nod to Wrath of Khan. It’s basically a word for word scene. I like it when Wars and Trek can appreciate each other in harmony. Again, sorry if anyone pointed this out already.

May have been mentioned down below, but as we've just received the final episode in the UK. The way the star destroyer's shields are brought down, Tierny and the FO officer's dialogue and the computer graphic of the shields dropping is very similar to USS Reliant's shields dropping under similar circumstances in The Wrath of Khan.

I was thinking that the Anoans may be genetic cousins to the Gunguns of Naboo. Both are amphibious species with predator instincts tapered by high intelligence and a great spiritual foundation. The Gunguns inhabit swamps and lakes, whereas the Anoans are a deep oceanic inhabitants.

The Colossus, starships and Immuel Doza are homages to the anime Robotech. The First Order, Chasing the Colossus which is used to belongs the Empire years ago as the ship holds great importance to them and the Colossus(wish the show gives the answer) is in the hands of the heroes is similar as The SDF-1 formerly belong to The Zentraedi race years before until they crash on earth and in position of the Human heroes and the Zentraedi chase heroes the SDF-1 as it have Protoculture. Both Colossus and SDF-1 first Escape the First Order and Zentraedi through light speed hyper space. Immuel Doza design is Resemble to Henry Gloval and SDF-1 and Colossus have a Command Bridge I could've sworn Star Wars Resistance season 2 Mention the word "SDF-1." No doubt Dave Filoni loves Robotech show and have some inspiration along with Pilots from his grandfather's pilot experience in WW2. I see Kaz as a combination of Rick Hunter and Scott Bernard but mostly Scott Bernard. I believe the Chelidae are inspirations of TMNT since Brandon Auman(Head Writer of Resistance) and other writers Like Eugene Son use to work at TMNT 2012 series. When Neeku said "How I often wish I Have a Carapace" Pretty sure that's an intentional reference because his Voice actor Josh Brener plays as Donatello in Rise of TMNT. *Support Rise of TMNT It is a great show.*
