Jango Fett needs to be shown the respect he deserves in the new canon. He's often left out of the conversation of best bounty hunters and Mandalorians even though he is the template of the entire clone army as well as the father and first instructor of Boba. Probably Disney's decision, it feels like they try not to reference the prequel trilogy era unless it's from the clone wars series. Hopefully they will go into detail on his origin in the Mandalorian and he can have the spotlight at least one more time. His old EU origin of being an orphan taken in by the Mandalorians and adopted by the clan leader Jaster Mereel was great. Similar to Din Djarin's backstory but not completely the same, and Jango was from Concord Dawn as opposed to Mandalore, which could explain why Governor Almec didn't know his history or how he obtained his Armor. After his clan was wiped out by the death watch and former fellow clan Mereel member Montross, he eventually became a bounty hunter, and from there the video game "Bounty Hunter" covers his introduction to Count Dooku and selection as the clone template. I feel like this backstory would still fit in perfectly with the Disney canon, and wouldn't contradict any current storylines. Maybe we could hear Boba tell some or all of this to Din, or Boba has a flashback sequence while he's alone either in The Mandalorian or if he get's his own series.

Hell yeah! Jango is a super interesting character who fought hard for his reputation and place in the galaxy and he did NOT steal his armor, he earned it. So sad how death watch and the Jedi destroyed his group

Not every hunter is part of the guild. Boba Fett is not part of the guild for example. Every hunter has their license to do this kind of work, but the guild is more for smaller hunters. The guild takes in the jobs and disperses them amongst its hunters, taking part of the cut for getting the hunter a job. Independent hunters such as Fett are approached directly by the client and don't share any spoils with the guild as the guild wasn't involved in their hunt.

I have respect for Bounty hunters no kidding, cos they do the dirty work that the majority don't want to do. They follow the BH 'Constitution' if you want to nickname it that which makes them respectable in that they aren't just savages. They also lead solo lives which must be harsh, kinda works for me though. Reminds me of John Wick in many forms because Guild Hunters almost mirror the Continental in so many ways. They both follow a 'strict' code while also keeping their reputation high while still not going crazy with guns and killing anyone they want. They also have a form of identification so they know who is their ally or not which is cool.
