Screen writers as well, I showed this show to some of my friends and family, first time watchers. And they were completely confused from beginning to the end I had to explain to them who they were and lore and why they are doing what they are doing. This show has many flaws, they need to do a better job at introducing who the characters are like in Mandon season 1. If season 2 is a movie or whatever, it will lose alot of people and people will not show up.

Only the gullible fall for the idea that making 2 billion, then 1.5, than barely 1 billion and then falling off completely after is a good trend. Star Wars is statistically at the lowest its ever been, its reputation BY FAR the worst its ever been, arguably one of the most "look how far you've fallen" franchises in the history of entertainment. Ahsoka not only fails to resonate with the majority of mainstream audiences because she's not really a mainstream appeal, her show's first season underperformed big time, it's one of LucasFilm's worst performing shows. As it stands, S2 has no chance.

One thing to also keep in mind is that Season 2 of Ahsoka is really just the other half of Season 1. It's possible most of it was already completed long before they announced that the show was canceled. All they have to do is a final finish production episode or two to wrap up the story (or try to) and call it a day. It's not always the case with Disney SW because they can operate in a mini-series format (essentially trying to spread out as much as possible with hit-or-miss series), but Hollywood has a tendency to create 12-20 episodes of a show before it gets canned. Then divide it up and say that it's "Two Seasons." If there were any issues with the first 8 episodes with Ahsoka, it's probably not going to be fixed in the next several episodes. This happened with Star Trek in the past, where they used to have seven actual seasons with over 170 episodes just for one series. Now, a show can have "Five Seasons" but has around 60 episodes instead.

There’s also the Dave Filoni movie coming out. Prediction: We might get Ahsoka Season 2 (early 2026), Mando&Grogu by Jon Favreau (May 2026), and then the Filoni film (May 2027). They might even make a third movie, bringing everything together, avengers-endgame style, creating the real sequel-trilogy, kind of like the heir of Empire book trilogy.

Filoni also can’t stop copying Tolkien’s work, literally with Ahsoka “The White”, Disneyfied Wargs, and literally putting The Argonath in there too. Filoni is a fraud who took too much credit for The Clone Wars when it was basically all George. Filoni needs to make it all about his characters. Ahsoka over Luke, Fennec and Cad Bane over Boba, Jango, Bossk. Dengar, etc, his annoying Rebels crew over Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, etc.

To be fair, there really wasn't anybody like Luke or Anakin short some of the very top Jedis on the council. But if we're being honest, Ezra Bridger has his own niche power, and he really can do a lot, considering he his advanced ability for Beast language. I actually imagine Ezra will become a member of Luke's School in more capacities than just a student. I mean Ezra did single-handedly lead the winning battle against the most feared Grand Admiral in the Empire. I don't agree with you that Ezra is not of high enough caliber to make a difference. It wasn’t a cliffhanger. They can get back the same way that they got there or, well, via whatever Baylan has planned. A cliffhanger would’ve left them with seemingly no way back. What they might be doing is write this show out to tie it in with the Mando movie. Which was likely always going to be the plan.

Can definitely see them leading to something with Ahsoka season 2 that coincides with Mando & Grogu. But I don’t feel that Ahsoka is being cancelled, not 8n the same way Acolyte or other shows have been looked at. With Ahsoka, I don’t think: ever truly planned to go beyond two seasons, so it’s not really the same (outside of convos in Lucasfilm we don’t know).

personally i loved ahsoka. It wasn't a perfect show but it had so many great moments. As long as Dave has the helmet I feel it will continue in a good way and with luck have a good ending with a well rounded story season 2 and with luck a good season 3.

Personal prediction- Peridea was set up for something huge like Abeloth so that it can be explained away in the main part of Galaxy. Completely agree on the Endgame treatment but I think it will be more like Infinity War- everyone is going to die and this will be part of what grinds Luke down.

Ashoka being my favorite Char especially from clone wars (yes I'm 46 and have been a fan since I was 2 yrs old but she's just the best developed char over her life span that's on tape) I would love if she got frozen in carbonite and lost to time for a few hundred years and then they start a series in the far future when it's more like the Old republic time and just start fresh rather then fuck up my fav char.

Besides overall quality being an obvious issue, not enough people are talking about the number of episodes. Waiting 3 years for 8 episodes is simply too long. Andor is able to give us 12 phenomenal episodes with solid runtimes, while Acolyte, Boba and Ahsoka all give us 8 mediocre to garbage ones (including filler episodes) with as short as 28 minute runtimes. It's just absurd.

Out of the eight episodes, six will be boring episodes about Ahsoka and team trying to find a way back to the Galaxy. Seventh will be a big showdown, with cliffhanger at the end. And eighth will be resolution and aftermath, with lots of tears.

i find it logical because the continuation of Ahsoka season 2 (coming out in 2026) Will be Dave's 2028 heir to the empire movie coming out in 2028 which will be a culmination (Quality over quantity, thats good news)
