This ^ It wasn't JUST Omega telling Hunter to go and save Gregor, you can clearly see and hear Echo on the ship arguing for it, and then the look he gives Hunter as he tries to decide. If Hunter decided to put their job to Cid first I'm pretty sure Echo would have gotten into an argument with him over it.

Some can assume that it was for Omega bc its been like that the past few episodes but I agree...I think it was for Echo bc Echo brought up Skeko Minor (or however you spell it) and then about him trusting rex so to trust him as well. Echo deserves a little more scenes than what he has gotten. I know the show is call The Bad Batch but Echo is now a Bad Batch member and he has been with us a long time.

I love how scorch and the other clone commandos were actually able to hold their ground against the bad batch. I’m glad that we can go back to seeing enemy soldier get brutally killed in combat cause they’re no longer clones.😂😂😂

I’m not so hopeful. The stormtroopers where shown to not be clones and yet the bad batch all still used the stun setting the whole time until wrecker shoots one guy. It’s like Disney forced a limit where the good guys can only kill one person directly per episode. It’s starting to get really really obvious for me.

As much Echo's doing that they went on this mission as Omega's. And once they arrived Omega and Wrecker followed orders and stayed behind as backup. Omega shares no more responsibility than anyone else for what happened. Sometimes Ops just go wrong. They wanted to rescue him but Hunter ordered them to flee.

@@yuinakamota8946 youre right he did push the mission once they started but she specifically fought for it in the scene and Echo didnt chime in until they got to the base and only added a nod in that scene. Omega pushes this idea in the scene so in a way she is definitely responsible or at least she'll beloeve she is because it got her closest brother captured and in that moment she spoke up for it. Omega's learning at the moment and even though it was the right thing to do, we see her good nature get the batch deeper into situations they could have even avoided.

Hunter was going to carry on with the paying mission but Echo reminded them that he was rescued in a very similar manner to how they are being asked to rescue this clone. Hunter could tell as the team was debating, that Echo was passionate about this and was not just going to let this go.

It's inevitable, tbh this is how things have to be when you're writing newer stories that were never a thing originally, inbetween Lucas's Saga. It's going to be sad if they all die, you can tell Omega will survive that's why it all makes sense what SWT says about her, them dying has to harder her and make her more cynical and gritty, that's the only perfect character development that will make sense for her.

There was a small missed opportunity here to explain how tough the commando armor is compared to the standard clone trooper set. Actually in the books this armor was basically some of the most indestructible, heavy, and best design ever made in the the starwars history. Im so glad the episode showed the commandos taking lots of extra hits and being a real burden like they are. Im happy to see them featured more in the series, long overdue! Though its just amazing to finally, finally, have a follow up on Gregor's story. Soon as this episode started and I saw the armor around the legs looking differnt; it didnt not take me long to realize they were commandos; and this was Gregor escaping. Filoni and team know how to really bring starwars together. I hope Delta squad can make an appearance as they defected from Empire to.

I think it’s realistic that palpatine would ditch the clones because he knows that clones can switch sides by a flick of a button and with clones betraying the empire in the last few episodes it makes sense that palpatine would get rid of them as quick as possible

That’s my basic view of it. Since he did it to rise to power himself, he will be paranoid about others using the same tactic against him. He can’t know for certain that there weren’t other implanted commands or failsafes placed in the clones, so better to wipe them off the board than run the risk.

Omega is a kid and most kids have a pure heart. They see everything and everyone as good. She has led a sheltered life up until now and has not been exposed to the evil/bad in the galaxy. Think about how as little kid most of you did not know what was good or bad until you were told by your parents, someone else or simply seeing it for yourself. Most kids, if allowed to do so, will talk to strangers as if they have know them. She will eventually learn, as we all have, that not everyone is interested in the good of all.

I completely agree with this. Omega is the moral compass, young and learning character who always looks to the positive. Having her wanting to do what she feels is right shouldn't come across as annoying. She wants to do everything possible to help everyone, even when the chances aren't high. Its not annoying to have a character try to be helpful as best as they can be.

I agree. She has been very sheltered - probably more than most children - and so she comes across as naive and too prone to see the good in people, even when the group should cut and run (in the case with Cid, for example). I think the Bad Batch are so used to being soldiers and getting told what to do. They could be manipulated or kept under the firm thumb of someone. Plus they are constantly on the run, so they cannot set aside much time or energy to plan long-term. I hope the entire group, including Omega, can develop further and get more understanding of how the world works, and actually be a bit more selfish and jaded (i.e. not so naive) in order to take care of themselves.

A lot of of believe his facial expressions say a lot at the end of that episode where Rampart gives him the go ahead to go after the batch

10/10 for me. I disagree with you on omega though. Her wanting to save everyone reminds me of Luke in a lot of ways in how he didn't want to wreck Jabba at first or how he believed good was still in his father. That's just who she is. Also, Echo played a large role in convincing Hunter to rescue Gregor. Really enjoyed them going on the early version of the death star, especially when they were in the reactor port.

I can't help but think this was a simple human error. That the notes given to the animators for that scene didn't include the need for Wrecker to be firing stun rounds. And either nobody caught it post production or it just wasn't worth the expense to correct it when it was caught.

This episode reminded me a bit of First Blood - the location/setting and Hunter taking a steep dive off a cliff face, through the trees, and plopping right on the ground. The early sequences - when Gregor is being chased by dogs - also had echoes of First Blood. Overall, great episode. I felt really invested in the story, which I haven't felt in a few episodes. I don’t think the argument that: “Omega is always trying to save people that tried to kill them” really has any legs to stand on. The closest thing I can think of to that is Crosshair, but the whole team already wants to save him so that’s not just her. And in this episode it’s not like she is the only one arguing to go to rescue Gregor, because Echo was as well. Also, she is literally a child, so her protesting against Hunter’s orders sometimes doesn’t make her “insubordinate” or anything, it just means she’s learning. It's natural for Omega to be like that since she's a kid who's been seen like an experiment but also pampered, cloistered from the outside world (by Nala Se). I wonder if Hunter will have another inhibitor chip implant since Rampart did express a desire to have some of them fighting for the Empire rather than against them. I don't think Lama Su is dead though. We didn't hear the blasters. Nala Se or someone else could try to free him or make some last attempt which spells doom for the Kaminoans with the exception of Nala Se. I also think she trained Dr. Pershing and hopefully is alive by the time of the Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett.

Omega is still just a kid. While she’s now getting some “bad” influence by living with the Batch in a part of the galactic underworld, Hunter has still been trying to protect her from the worst of it. This she still carries that youthful innocence and optimism that comes from seeing the world in simple black and white. Plus, she has an additional soft heart for the clones. Hearing that one is in trouble, particularly hearing it from a friend, of course she would want to help.
