I am so excited for you! I know all the times you didn't participate! So, what I do is I look at the daily releases the post between th FB group and IG. I take a snap shot of the ones I absolutely love and must have. If there are some that I like but I am not wow'd by... then its a sign that I don't really need it. So as of right now I really do not have any MUST haves...it is still early though...lol.

Unless DAC has a ten foot banner saying NO BLACK FRIDAY KITS HAVE PINK LINES I won’t buy anything. I just returned two pink line-damaged kits and it was very upsetting plus they don’t reinstate the points you expended when you purchased these damaged kits. I don’t care how much fun Black Friday is -who wants damaged kits? I’ll wait another year if I have to. I think this pink line fiasco is going to come into play big time. Just my personal opinion.

Agreed! Just my opinion but they definitely need to get rid of the Inked lines and it wouldn't bother me if they got rid of the perforations altogether because it has kind of morphed into a headache

@ 100%. I’m not going to let FOMO overtake me. DAC should put out a survey about the whole perforated cover issue. See how many like it and how many tear it off and use release papers, like me. Makes me question why they even sell release papers in their shop if the perforated pink lined covers are supposed to be the bees knees. Have a crafty day friend!

All the unboxings for black friday that I have seen didn't have the pink lines. So I'm hopeful that all the new released kits as of BF are without the pink lines. Can't say that about the ones that are in stock though....I only got squares Black Friday releases....because I don't want to deal with it.

Last year, I also didn't participate in Black Friday and they had released some of Chrissabug's zodiac series and they were limited edition(boo!) So I missed two of them and it is the only zodiac series I wanted all 12. They haven't released anymore of them this year yet, and I'm wondering if they'll release the rest on Black Friday. If so, I think that's where all my money is going.

I saw a finish of a painting with the pink lines and I didn't see it. I have Cinnamon coffee with the pink lines and now I'm not so annoyed anymore to do it.

I’m excited for BF & CM but I’m on a mini destash / low buy. My plan is to budget to purchase no more than 4 paintings and only the ones that are MUST have. If I don’t buy or miss out, I will add to wish list and hope for restock sometime next year after I finishing more ~ one of my goals for 2025 is finish 30 paintings. @ awesome we’ll do it together! It’s because we like all the pretty new things. It is hard to resist but we have to have will power and don’t act impulsively ~ or FOMO. Recently, I tried this: on a new release if I see one I like, I add it to my wish list, sleep on it/think about it for a while ..even overnight. If it’s still there and it’s a must have … not a want, then I get it ~ if not hope for a restock. Time passes and I may not want it anymore. Think about shopping from your stash! And also how long would it take to finish them. Did you watch Lisette’s destash? Lots of tips there. Her will power and can do attitude is amazing!! Good luck!

Helloooo my friend! What the hell is the deal with those pink lines on the canvass?? I'm clearly out of the loop because I haven't heard any of the drama around that issue, but clearly there is some. I'll be darn upset if any of the newer canvasses I've ordered have those lines on the canvass. 😡. Anyway, I'm so impressed with how strict you're being with yourself about BF. 5 kits isn't very much in my book. 😂. I think I bought about 15 last year. 😂. But this year I'm going to have my act together and I'm not going to order nearly that many. So far, on day 3 of releases, there is only one that I want. And there's one more that's a maybe. There really haven't been many this year that I've liked or that are my style. I like a number of the Yummei Art images, but they're being released in massive sizes and I don't gravitate towards those extra large paintings. So DAC's black friday event for me this year isn't living up to expectations. 🤣. Oh well. I've been buying a lot of candles. 🤣

Oh I have mixed feelings about Black Friday 😅🙈. At first I was as excited as you but when they announced the 100 kits and knowing about cyber monday coming as well I felt the fear of spending a lot of money kicking in 😢. So I made a plan for Black Friday to buy 6 paintings from there - if there are more I'll try to reduce on monday 😅. For monday I also thought about 6 😊. Well, my wallet is already crying silently 😂. But next week we'll know more

Hi Marla - I think they fixed it. I didn't see any on the new releases for Black Friday. So going forward with the new releases I think it will be okay. Don't know about the current stock they have though. I would think twice before getting a round one (the squares will cover it - although still annoying).

I have that Margaret Morales canvas hanging up in my craft room. Its a part of a trio and I have two of them. I play to only buy up to 3 paintings during Black Friday. I'm hoping that at least one of the Robert Finale paintings I requested will be released at Dreamer Designs. There is a Josephine Wall painting that I want at The One With The Diamond Art that I will get if they have a good sale. There is an Anna Dittmann painting that I want at Jaded Gem Shop if she has a good sale.

Unfortunately, I still don’t have any room for any more kits, I actually have 3 that don’t fit anywhere and keep getting moved around. I’ll look and wishlist any that I like. Also, I’m still pink line shy. I do have one I really really REALLY want to get from Rose Proffitt Creations, which will be my first purchase next year. We’ll see how many I get done by next year and if I have room then, well , we’ll see. Looking forward to watching next week to see how you did!

Jaded Gem Shop is going to be my first priority, hoping she does a larger drop for BF that includes some new Kat Fedoras. Surprisingly Dreamer Designs has a couple new releases that caught my attention and I've heard they tightened up their grids so I'll give them another shot if the ones I like are still available. I'm also really interested to see if TOWTDA does anything, I really want to try one of their large high color count kits. If Munimade does something there's also a couple there I'm considering. If I buy something from DAC I'll need really love the art AND not be completely turned off by their aggressive hand charting.

I can't belive they are still having the pink line issue after all this time and aren't just discounting the kits. It's crazy to expect people to pay full price for damaged good AND not tell people! I'm currently working on one with the lines because I have social anxiety, and shipping it back wasn't an option. I had to spend more money for mica powder. I hope my next order doesn't have the lines.

I'm allowing myself three this year. I'm hoping Jade has a good sale, because I would love to get my first JGS kit. I'm really disappointed with the pink lines. I don't see why they were necessary in the first place, but for so many diamond paintings to leave the factory with this issue and no one noticing is a bit disappointing, especially from a premium company. I know in theory it shouldn't be an issue on a square drill kit, but I feel really sorry for everyone that bought round drill kits with this problem.

Yikes, the dreaded red lines. DAC has lost so much good will with their customers over those lines. They are the reason that I stopped buying rounds kits from DAC. You should be ok with squares though. I'm working on a different DAC mystery right now, it doesn't have the red lines but the square grid is tight enough that none of the white background shows through once drills are down. Happy Black Friday, I hope that you're able to get the kits that you want. As of now, looks like most of the releases are Halloween theme or mermaids or cats or zodiac or creepy death adjacent - all of which have zero appeal for me so I'm safe so far.
