I was trying to forget that game 2.... ;-)

Land destruction and shatters were just brutal in that game 😱

@@TimmytheSorcerer It kinda felt like playing to prison... I mean who wants to win by letting their opponent not play? ;-)

Thanks David, deck techs is something that I still want to improve on.

I always thought adding millstone and field of dreams to control you opponents draws always made stasis vault even better. Have you ever thought of that tweak?

I remember Stasis with Chronatog. Taking extra turns doesn’t really mesh fully with Stasis.
@TimmytheSorcerer Жыл бұрын
It actually does, when you have your Stasis/Vise lock, you give your opponent an extra turn by untapping the time vault. When you can no longer pay for the upkeep of the stasis you tap your time vault so that you have an extra turn after the Stasis is gone, meaning that you will be the first to untap with a hand full of spells (probably another Stasis is in that hand). It's super mean and thopugh to play against these decks (talking from experience).
@Rorschachqp Жыл бұрын
@@TimmytheSorcerer It's like this: there is already a more efficient way to build Stasis but I think people just like to Twiddle around with their Time Vaults. In the old build, just locked down incoming creatures with Kismet, locked down mana with Power Sink and maybe Mana Short and just bounced their Stasis over and over again with Time Elemental.
@joeb15224 жыл бұрын
If someone uses twiddle (or icy manipulator) on a land or on a disk, can the opponent respond by tapping the land for mana or activating the disk? I recall they can do this if a land or an artifact is destroyed with sinkhole or shatter, but I'm not sure about a spell that taps.
@TimmytheSorcerer4 жыл бұрын
In response to the twiddle you can tap a land for mana or use an icy. They go on the stack. 👍
@joeb15224 жыл бұрын
@@TimmytheSorcerer Thanks! I am assuming it is the same for artifacts, that in response to a twiddle or icy, you can tap the artifact.

When I was a kid I used to trade for as many copies of stasis as I could.....just to rip them up, it was my most hated card lol.

Amazing matches - I love Disco but the 2nd game was a bit of a blowout.
@TimmytheSorcerer4 жыл бұрын
True, after SB the disco player can board out all his creature removal and start targeting the artifacts. In this case he also added some land destruction.. brutal.

Nothing I enjoy more than watching a degenerate list like Twiddlevault get absolutely murked

It's so tough to play against. You're always under this time pressure, wanting to win before if goes off and you're forced to watch your opponent play a game of solitaire untill you eventually die..

Things like Chaos Orb remind me why I stick to Yu-Gi-Oh People can make fun of Yugioh's no concrete resource management or power creeps all they want. We never had a guy win a match tearing a card up, only to not be able to continue in the tournament because it's considered a self disqualification for turning his deck into a 59 card deck. That's some shit you'd see in the anime I'm sure. Vintage Yugioh was basically just "mirror force again? Have you no shame?" vs now "Orcust again? Have you no shame?"

Did he seriously get zero stasises in the first game?? It was a dead won game except he suddenly played Timetwister instead of Stasis...

Indeed, it surprised me too. Statistically speaking, he should’ve won that first one def.
