This is the best knife review I’ve ever seen. Cutting up all that different material really brings the point home no pun intended

I just got one on 7/2022. I LOVE IT!!! The lock up is so solid it feels like a fixed blade...it fires with AUTHORITY!!!! The Stitch is a SLICER! If you can get one, you should! I had to wait years until Microtech made another run. Mine was made on 3-2022.

For years now my go to sharpness test has involved phonebook paper. It is thin, has an alternating thin and thicker composition. A truly sharp knife will snap cut a thin sliver a couple of inches long without any resistance. The stitch is an interesting piece of work. Nice review.

Love my stitch. Thought they were way bigger. They're surprisingly comfortable in the pocket and very robust. I won't say they're for everyone, but I wish I got mine years ago. Carry it almost every day since I got it.

I had one in my cart yesterday and was ready to click “complete order” but decided against it. If it were a manual I would’ve pulled the trigger. Glad I held off because I found a Reate exo and got it instead this morning. The stitch is so beautiful tho. Microtech needs NEEDS to make it manual. Then I’ll get it without hesitation

Cool knife. My biggest regret is it isn’t dual action. That blade cut out is ideal for finger flicking.
@03_austindrake883 жыл бұрын
It sure cut very well for how thick the blade stock is. It's cool to see a knife like that tested like this. As far as the "A" on the blade, I always thought that meant auto. Aluminum makes sense too. Great video once again Stassa!

The backspacer is actually Titanium. I checked mine with a magnet the other day. If it looks like stainless (or a little darker) and it’s not magnetic, 99% chance it’s titanium. Aluminum is much brighter and takes a finish very differently. Not sure why two websites claim it to be Al (Knifecenter & PVK). Microtech doesn’t say on their site so I’m not sure where those websites got it. They probably just assumed it was aluminum because that’s a more common backspacer material than titanium.

Great review! I believe the backspacer is titanium btw. Never mind. I just went and looked. It's aluminum according to SMKW. I could have sworn I seen people flame anodizing the things. 😂
@Stassa233 жыл бұрын
I’m sure someone makes titanium backspacers for it 👍🏻
@Mr11216283 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t say anything on SMKW’s site about the backspacer material. On KnifeCenter and PVK they list it as aluminum, but I doubt that due to the heft, color, and way it takes the stonewashed finish. It sure does look a lot like stainless, but it’s not magnetic. Sounds like titanium to me. Also, I own a Stitch and I can confirm it’s titanium. Not light enough or bright enough to be aluminum in my opinion.

@steveredmen4373 жыл бұрын
@@KB-kw8ni There is not any and I mean any aluminum called Aircraft grade aluminum. It will have any number of designations. But Aircraft grade is not one of them. Are you referring to the outside wing? Are you referring to the beverage cart. Could it be the main engine intake valve? These are all different grades of aluminum. All can be used on an airplane. How about aluminum baseball bats? College baseball teams fly on Aircraft. That makes their bats Aircraft grade in the factory you work in. You are silly and easily fooled.
@KB-kw8ni3 жыл бұрын
@@steveredmen437 calling people names is not a good way to start a conversation and shows me your level of mentality so I will not delve into this any further however I work in this industry and the designation is true as aircraft-grade aluminum for different variations of aluminum alloys
