Was super uncool when they decided to arbitrarily rip on birdwatchers who need glasses for 15 minutes straight. As someone who needs glasses to read in their day-to-day life, hearing Graydon spout things like, "what's wrong, 6-eyed freaks? Can't get a close enough look at the aviary life in your own backyard? Quit clogging up all the space at the park with your box of assorted peripherals!" made me feel a deep shame for my visual burden. And don't get me started on the one with the moustache. the nene goose is quite endangered, so it makes sense that the one pictured had the bracelet on. also they're famous for frequenting hawaii vivienne Westwood and chrome hearts locations. its also interesting, as this particular species of goose is so specialized to the specific environment of the islands it lives nowhere else in the world. i saw one once and waved to it and it did not wave back but luckily i don't think it saw me cry about the whole not waving thing so i am okay with it

There’s actually a lot of seagulls in Utah, but I was always told that it’s the state bird bc Utah had a locust infestation and the seagulls came in and ate them all up. So they made it the state bird… idk how true that is and I don’t care to fact check myself 🫡
