Logic ! What's the point of doing a state of play when 90% of games are multiplatform? Only 1 exclusive game “ghost of yotei” ! And again it will be released on PC shortly after, which means 0 exclusives in reality. Even the Xbox showcase had more Xbox exclusive games and many more first party games. Multi-platform games, remasters and a sequel, no new IP, ..... the good times of PlayStation are long gone. Playstation no longer has money to create games, only remasters: easy cash, low investment, exorbitant prices on consoles, games, paid updates, dlc, and accessories to try to cover their costs. Probably the worst PlayStation generation and the future doesn't really look good for them!

I don't know why people keep hyping up or creating expectations for this type of shows. For me, especially with the crazy backlog I have, if there's a couple of games I'm interested in, it's already a win for me. Lunar and Ghost of Yotei alone made me even more excited for 2025, which is a win for me.

I am so unbelievably happy about the Lunar collection! Lunar on the PS1 was my introduction to JRPGs and there is no game more precious to me. It was kind of emotional to finally see it remembered and announced with that wonderful opening song. I'm also praying to the physical gods for a physical release and maybe even a collectors edition.

Ghost of Yotei is set in the Hokkaido region (Northern snowy area) of Japan which is what interests me about it. Back in that time I think it was like an unexplored frontier apart from the indigenous tribes

Every show like this is "disappointing" if it doesn't have a new Zelda game announced. It was actually pretty good. New games, DLC, remasters, console stuff for people with excess money (lol), it had all the stuff these presentations need. Gamers really need to adjust their expectations instead of being sad when their minds aren't blown.

I have huge respect here Johnny. I am a gamer in my early 40s, and it is thoroughly refreshing to see someone be authetic about their opinion and what they actually like. What others need to realise that are throwing harsh criticism is that, it is completlely OK for you and for anyone to not be ecvited for a certain game ot even to not like any of the proposed releases. In age where people don't share how they really feel because of loyalty to certain partners, it is great to watch a channel where it is your genuine hobby and passion and the opinions are authentic. As a lifelong gamer who really grew up with the advancements in tech and the golden age of gaming, like myself, you have a real knowledge that can't be faked.

Lunar makes me so happy. The games got me through a very tough time and I love them so much. SSSC was the last game my grandparents got me before my grandma died a few months after release and EB was the first game my mom and grandpa got me after. This stuff literally brings me to tears.

2:00 I had the same feeling. This is totally Death Stranding + a pinch of Souls + surprisingly I felt a little bit of the Sonic Frontiers Bosses trip there, in a small form. Lunar! 🥰 I won't have to play without understanding all of the lower quality audio on Sega CD anymore. Yeah, physical buy for sure. And one last buy for Soul Reaver... or maybe two, physical on console and digital on pc. Gotta make that transition for full digital right, enjoying one more physical console generation.

6:30 - Hitman Trilogy in VR has actually been on PS4/PSVR1 for a while now. Only problem with that version is that they didn't add motion-control support. You are basically stuck with using the DS4 controller. So they basically will just update the graphics and give people actual motion-controls. I don't remember if the PC VR version had motion-controls. I think they did. But yeah, that is some nice news there. They actually surprised me in a good way, regarding VR content.

I honestly thought this was quite good, i didn't set my expectations too high because the State of Plays always tend to be a little bit light on big announcements compared to a PlayStation Showcase. So the Ghost of Yotei announcement was a big surprise. I'll miss Jin and that cast of characters for sure, But their reasoning is that the Ghost title carries throughout history. Astros dlc was great to see and That Horizon Remaster was a better outcome than i expected, with the option to upgrade for €10. I feel like Days Gone is the game that needs that treatment most and hopefully it'll give the series a second chance if that rumor is true. Looking forward to the next episode Johnny!

I thought it was a solid State of Play as far as State of Plays usually go. Plenty of surprises. The fact that they included a couple of remasters of old classics is a page out of a Nintendo Direct. We got a release date on Monster Hunter Wilds, SOMETHING from Sony first party with Ghost of Yotei. Good stuff 😊

With the new Lunar I wonder if they will update the translation? I remember it had a lot of 90's reference with talk about Shannon Doherty the actress form 90120. I hope they don't update the translation because working designs always did a great job with adding humor to the translations. This is the game I am getting and I too hope for physical copy.

Great video! As I’m sure you’re aware the comments are from people who saw the title and not the video 😂 I will add two small things. Since horizon zero dawn remastered is only a $10 upgrade, it doesn’t bother me. However it seems unnecessary so I’m with you overall. I think Monster Hunter Wilds might be one of those games where Capcom isn’t showing it well because I’ve had the same feeling as you. But since people rave about World and Rise, I’m curious to see how the reviews pan out for this one. Otherwise, it was an ok show. Lame? In some ways, not in others.

I'm super hype for Ghost of Yotei! Hokkaido is my favorite region of Japan so I'm excited to play a game set there! Definitely the biggest thing I want out of a game set in Hokkaido is some good Ainu representation. I know Tsushima was very well researched so I'm cautiously optimistic for Yotei!

I agree that it's maybe a bit soon for a HZD remaster, but if they bring in the NPC interaction from HFW, that's worth it for newcomers. The first one was great but the NPCs were so deadeyes (though most games still have that to this day) but the second made it so natural and not distracting, it was awesome.

It was a good SoP in my opinion. It gave the spotlight to some retro goodness, some new gameplay form incoming games and even Sakaguchi made an appearance. I dont engage in the hype buildup hapening in forums and social media so my expectations are always in check for these events. Dino Crisis, Lunar remastered , Soul Reaver and the new Ghost are my picks of the show.

For some reason idiots expect megaton after megaton after banger after banger when anyone does one of these showcases...Imbeciles were jizzing for joy after the Xbox showcase and it was 50% DLCs for games, 40% games with no release window whatsoever and 10% games that might be coming in the next 2 years. IF you take away Zenimax and Activision Xbox has released less than 5 games in 4 years. Halo Infinite and a couple of Forza. MS doesn't get credit for releasing games that Zenimax and Activision had already been working on before MS bought the company trying to money hat the entire game industry
