I've also noticed that people aren't buying, and now summer is over, the prices have been going even lower. I think Dec/Jan time it will be lower than this too. The regular Audi R8 v10 is now as low as £75k for a 66 plate with 15k miles from an Audi dealer but you can get a V10 plus for under £80k now, 66 plate with 177k miles is £83k. The older R8's are holding their value better, especially the R8 GT which can be more expensive than the new V10 Plus. Lambo wise, you can get a 610-4 Huracan for under £130k, Performante under £170k, Aventadors around £200-210k, but I think the Urus price has gone up though. I'm sure they used to be under £200k and now they're over. Mclaren wise, you can get a 540C are now under £85k, 570s under £90k and 570GT under £95k. The 570s Spider is doing quite well, lowest around £115k. 600LT prices have fallen quite a bit recently, now the cheapest is under £165k, they used to be closet to £190-200k. The 600LT spider is doing better, cheapest is £190k but after that they're £205k. I'm not sure if you'd classify it as a supercar but the F-type SVR is good value now (The R too). Cheapest one is £60k which is pretty good value for a 5 litre V8 which sounds great and has 567BHP. The F-Pace SVR is even cheaper for the same engine. Also Honda have finally bit the bullet and started reducing the NSX price to under £100k. They have most of them so I think they were artificially keeping the price up but no one was buying them. Cheapest is nearly £90k now.

As you say Ian we can only speculate what might happen, until it does will have to wait-and-see but there are interesting times ahead, but I think there will still be petrol and diesel cars on the road after 2035, and as you know when do we ever get things done on time here in the UK and overbudget, just look at the HS2 example joke, good as always mate always interested to hear your thoughts keep them coming

Really hoping Audio turn their flagship R8 into a fully electric super car. I'm just hoping they price it reasonably so it won't be selling for a quarter of its price within 10 years.

Horses and the sport became a better place ones the car came along. When/if elec cars take over petrol, it will become a niche market and all the better for it. Just imagine supercar manufactures no longer trying to play the horsepower game when electric cars have won the 0-60 game and we get a McLaren with a 2.5lt V12 that revs to 15,000. : P Thanks for your time. Yours Chris.

Weight kills a car especially supercars, thats why McLarens feel so lively and nimble as the carbon chassis and panels makes them a lot lighter than competitors
