State Of The Watch Collection 2020 SOTC

My viewers have been asking for a State of the collection, so here it is.
These are my 8 mostly worn watches in my collection alongside 2 honourable mentions from the rest of my watches.
NOTE: many have asked about the watch box in this video, it was purchased from eBay a while back, I have tried to locate them but I cannot find anymore. As for the brand name it does not have one.

Exactly what i thought, i was like "and not a rolex in sight"- I am very new to the hobby, but i quickly got tired of the Rolex name drop, especially when there are such beautiful and amazing pieces out there! Very nice and refreshing.

The sirloin you have beautiful and really great story that you started your channel with that watch, very cool. Love the red band in Oris and love the retro look of you Oris dial. Really unique. Never seen the seiko bull before cool 😎. Omega on the bracelet look amazing, love the Tudor too very glad you didn’t go for the usual 57 that everyone has. You need to have a unique collection like yours and not like everyone else. Love your reissue seiko looks so 1970 groovy man, omega aqua Terra looks classy. Good collection mate. Good one 👍

Cool original picks. A collection that has personality, I admire that, as you see so many having the same ones. I can see you are not a bracelet guy. The Christopher Ward, for the vintage vibe, and the Seiko S-Wave, for the quirkiness, are my favorites.

Seiko and Casio are just mandatory for any watch collector. Way more so than Rolex, Patek, ap etc. I think Oris is becoming a Swiss Seiko or Casio in terms of offering such good value that you can't not buy one.

No Rolex ? At least a Sub or GMT should be in that collection. You can get a pre owned 16710 GMT II for 8-12K USD. I paid $3800 for mine brand new in 2002, if I would have known, I would have bought 3-4 of them, and stowed them away for later sale.

you should keep the aqua Terra and sell the rest and save up for another high quality watch like a grand Seiko or an Omega seamaster so you can have 2 high quality watches

I don’t I pick them up and use them as I need them However, once every 3 months I’ll go through my entire collection and give them a wind, clean and a few minutes if wrist time Just spending time with the children as they say 😊

I think I have more early vintage than most people. I love the 30s through 50s. I try to keep 6 modern and 6 vintage at all times.

I agree if you don,t enjoy wearing a watch no matter how good they look they stay in the box. I have a Longines I love the look of but it's just a little on the large size so very very get worn.

Hi PK, brand new to your channel and enjoyed the SOTC. I believe we have somewhat similar tastes. Whilst I started collecting Invictas with some mates ( I have about 100) my taste in timepieces has evolved. My grails, in the short term, have been purchased and my new grails are in place. My first "luxury" piece was the Tag Aquaracer in blue. I then decided to collect/own at least 2 of each brand. So... 2 Oris, one is the Aquis, a Tag Formula 1 ceramic, a Longines Hydroconquest (red bezel) and Conquest, the Omega Seamaster 300 (black bezel Bond), a few Tissot- T-race, T-touch, Seastar, Visodate and a V8, Rado ceramic, 2 Roamers, Squale, 3 Stuhrling, 2 Victorinox, 2 Swiss Legends, 2 Zodiacs, a few Swoles, 2 Wegner, a few Swatches, 2 Swiss Miltary and a number of fun watches. A few Bulovas, Orients, Seikos, Citizens, and Casios (a few G shocks) I've been collecting a little over 2 years and I know how addictive this hobby can be. I said I would stop at 200. @Peter Kotsa Peter, whenever you make a video and I see the Oris Diver 65, I'm like a little kid around candy! It's become engraved in my head and I always enjoy when I see it in your videos. I am really drawn to it, I find the way they designed the 12, 3, 6 & 9 really fun and I like the very slim bezel and the domed crystal. While I'm a little bit of a Seiko diver fan... I think out of all your watches, that Oris is really my favourite! It's a very nice collection you have. It's a "conservative" collection in terms of styling; nothing looks "toy-like". They fit the type of personality you give off.

The Omega Aqua Terra is the best watch in your collection. I also like the Seiko Bullhead. The Christopher Ward I accept is a well put together watch but it lacks soul. The brand positioning on the dial needs to change as it compromises the symmetry of the watch. Peter, where is the Seiko PADI? I wore me on a European holiday before COVID hit and it was very versatile especially when worn on a blue Uncle Seiko waffle.

I got mine serviced and it cost around $450 AUD..as for the crystal I'd say they cost around $100 give or take.. hope that helps cheers
