Greetings from New Zealand, wish you success and all the best in this project. We want to see the SGR reaching Rwanda and South Sudan, there is great potential for economic development in agriculture, mining and industries for these countries.

What Kenya Railways needs to do.....is to visit Tanzania Railways for "catch up training" on MGR operation. That shunting yard at the KR Hq is like a sight from zombie apocalypse!

Wow!!...the only confidence inspiring item about the MGR as it is now is the solid architecture of the KR HQ building along Haile salasie ave. The rolling stock, track and engines....are like a scene from Gotham City. KR should borrow a leaf from our Tz brothers on how to operate a functional MGR ...efficiently. (Of course a good way to start is by not plundering it in the first place)

how much do you expect? basically all the materials and equipment are imported from China, so it's supposed be expensive. and look at the fascinating stations, those the best stations you can find in whole Africa.

When the mgr was being built, the britons called it the train to nowhere. But that mgr built Nairobi, one of the largest cities in africa. In fact britons called the mgr lunatic express, thinking it was an exercise in futility.
