hmm find a new doctor who wants to learn more haha - ignorance is not bliss - Could he perhaps learn the truth - watch Dr Eric Westman with over 20 years of ketogenic eating, and its effects, and then come around to Dr Chaffee and the many other keto vloggers - You are living proof that he sees every day - One day he will start to apply logic - he was taught that keto / carnivore don't work, yet right before his eyes over the kitchen table is living proof - Is he aware of your blood and urine panels - hopefully one day he will ask why the improvements, when the UN, the vegan bias , WEF propaganda and medical bodies say the blood and urine panels should show problems - If he gets worried about Cholesterol he needs to watch Dr Paul Mason and some others on the myths of high LDL etc - good luck and not all Keto people need or want Carnivore but low carb high fat is a better way Ketosis is the next step with ketovore then finally Carnivore - LCHF is a journey of learning and feedback from results

Its so true that fiber is not the answer to normal digestion and stools. I got the RDA of fiber from the food I ate for 2 years. I was bloated, gassy, loose stools, felt bulky and lethargic. I abruptly gave up carbs to go Carnivore, and within 2 week had no gas, bloating, lots of energy, and had normal stools for the first time in many, many years! Boy was I pleasantly surprised!

Ditto. My relief happened on Day 2 using PHD. Literally, I am experiencing the best poo of my sickly life. Note that I reduced no added sugar intake and was eating salads 2 times a week for the past 10 years, all the while gaining 2.4lbs annually for the past 10yrs. My cardiologist did tell me weight gain would happen due to my heart function improvement with the LVAD. I thought no way! So salads became a staple, which obviously is why carbs are not HEALTHY for anyone. Fiber bound me and water pills dehydrated my intestines, and going was painful to the point of tears. Not anymore, thanks to PHD fats. Imo, physicians without nutritional knowledge and experience can kick rocks! Thank you to drs like Berry, Chaffee, and more on their nutrition 1st bandwagon. 🎉🎉🎉

One year Carnivore. OMAD and, at times two meals. Constant diarrhea. Increased fat/decreased fat. No energy and, allergies. No relief. Finally, I started taking B Vitamins and, the diarrhea ceased after six days. I think Carnivore can be great for most people but, if one is suffering from malabsorption etc, the process is crazy hard. The journey can be slow and, discouraging, especially with all the hacks that are out there to "help." I continue to stay on Carnivore as I know that my past diets caused much damage and, I enjoy the satisfaction of eating yummy steaks.

May i ask how old are you for you to be experiencing malabsorption?
@MrsPaulaTorres10 ай бұрын
But why you’re doing omad & 2mad with malabsorption issues? When your body cannot digest the days worth of protein and fat in one shot it will obviously shoot it out. I also deal with allergies (and hashimotos, hEDS, MCAS & then some) and see a difference of histamine response from grass finished vs grain finished meats Electrolytes? A year of diarrhea sounds insane. I’ve had thyrotoxicosis and hyperthyroidism so I understand the struggle but saying carnivore doesn’t mean everything; did you cut out dairy AND butter? Do you eat proper grass finished suet? Lamb suet has the least amount of histamines. May you heal ❤

Also, assuming that I stick with this, I'm going to have to explain the rapid weight loss to my doctor. On testosterone, the psychological factor gets ignored way too much. You need to eat the right foods and exercise. Without the right nutrients, your body can't make it under any circumstance. However, once you have all the right nutrients and your getting proper exercise a lot of psychological and environmental factors come into play. A stressful job, our position in society, our perceived social status, and especially our romantic relationships all have an enormous impact on testosterone levels. Meditation and working on your viewpoint can help a little, but just leaving a bad relationship, changing to a better job, or leaving a social group where you feel like you are disliked can have a dramatic effect.

Our anti- aging doctor sends a phlebotomist to our house to take a blood draw twice a year; we try to schedule the draws for early Friday mornings-that makes the fasting less onerous. We hydrate starting the night before. But no one, EVER, mentioned abstaining from sexual activity the day before! Does that raise the hormones or the reverse? We are and have been on bioidentical hormone therapy for more than 15 years but actually received hormone supplementation from a previous doctor as far back as the late ‘90’s (we are 73 and 76, respectively). At our age we have to take advantage of sometimes rare moments, and I really don’t want to miss an opportunity just because of a blood draw. Since we’re on hormone supplementation anyway, what’s the harm? Give me a good reason why we have to abstain the day before. My husband is nearly always working….

Great info as usual Dr Chaffee. With regard to "reversing Atherosclerosis" I believe that Dr William Davis "Wheatbelly books and "Super Gut" author", has a proven protocol to reverse Atherosclerosis. Suggest that you give him a call and have a chat.

I had a co worker that said when he had pancreatitis they put him on a 3 day dry fast.
@anthonychaffeemd10 ай бұрын
Yeah that's pretty Carmen for treating pancreatitis is fasting completely to rest your pancreas and giving IV hydration. I don't know how much of benefit dry fasting would be though because the pancreas doesn't do anything to absorb water that just happens on its own

In regard to fat intake: You mentioned that not eating enough fat could cause diarrhea, but doesn't the body automatically consume the needed extra fat from the body's own storage? Since I started carnivore (after years of keto) my BF% went up from around 12% to over 15%, while nothing else changed in my lifestyle (in fact I may exercise a tiny bit more). I am not too worried about it, but I find it odd.

I understand know one but your doctor can give medical advice but I’m curious. I have diverticulitis about 3-5 attacks per year. Could a strict Carnivore diet help with that? I hear so many conflicting opinions about it. I know fiber binds and makes you go more which seems counterproductive to me. Too much information out but not the right kind for my situation. I’m considering surgery to remove a small portion of my colon but I really believe there is treatment for everything.
@dahof278910 ай бұрын
@MichaelRayBirchfield I had Diverticulitus 10 yrs ago and had colon resection. Started laproscopic but the device 'mechanically broke' inside of me that made the 'min invasive' - 'max invasive'. Recovery cost me my job with a huge tech company thay sounds like 'Macrosoft.' Horrible company so that was for the best. My point... I wish that I knew about Carnivore and cut out the everything bagels. I'm perfectly healthy now, but you never know what might happen in any surgery.

Pork can be problematic for some due to pigs not being ruminant animals, so you should try to find.a source for pastured pork and sugar-free bacon - but if you're eating high quality bacon, eat as much as you want!

Buy an air fryer. They make cooking easy. I have the ninja foodie. Soo great. Slow cooking, roasting, air frying. Just put the timer and temp in..

@@Debbie-jz6ef I stay away from anything with Teflon, but I do have a toaster oven. I pop my bacon in the oven for 20 minutes and it’s done. Doesn’t get any easier than that! I do wish there was an air fryer that was stainless steel and not Teflon though, then I could get more variety.

Just getting into carnivore for the last 4 weeks, been on keto/low carb until now. I got a CGM and everything my sugar dips down to as low as 2.2 mmol/L. I'm fairly healthy and active. How this be explained ? Shouldn't the sugar rise? Thanks in advance!

Dr. Chaffee, I've been easing into full carnivore since March & feel fantastic, BUT haven't been to any doctor in over 10 years, so I have no clue as to my blood stats. Do you think I should get blood work? There are diabetics on both sides of my family. Father died of heart attack from diabetes at 71. Mom lived to 91. I am now 76, 5'5", 136#. I just don't see the point of going down any doctor's rat hole, especially since I have zero symptoms of anything. What say you?

@SharkForthTraining10 ай бұрын
He avoids and would suggest the same. If you can eat onions and tolerate them, then go for it. Onion is not carnivore, but if you don't eat too many you can still remain in ketosis. Try with and without, and then choose

I have a question and i hope you can answer. I have been on the carnivore diet since april 2023. I have eaten stake, chicken,pork, some fish, real butter, some no carb cheese, some pork rinds, pepsi max, real salt and eggs. Every ailment went away and i felt like superhuman until beginning of october. Suddenly i got muscle aking, fatigue, headache. Lasted for 3 weeks now. Have taken some bloodwork now and waiting for the results. Already negative on bacteria infection and viruses. I have been taking electrolytes, magnesium citrate. Started D3+K2 last week but only low dose. max dose without prescription is 80 micrograms. Live in Norway and the sun has been away here mostly since early july and it is getting quite cold now. Can it be low dose of vitamin D? Do you see something in my diet that is a red flag and suddenly can cause inflamation? Could it be change in the weather from summer to winter?

This might be a strange question on this channel, but you're a medical doctor who is a carnivore, so I respect your opinion. What do you think about hormonal contraceptives? I'm a guy, and for obvious reasons it is very convenient when a girl is taking it, but if I were a girl I probably wouldn't take it myself. I hear a lot of women saying it has caused them serious health issues, but I also hear women saying they can take it no problem.

It messes hormonal balance, moodand the most important microbiome. If no other option, at least she should consider probiotics. Best
